Wallpaper Christmas scene

Hi everyone. I am here to share with you a card I created using the Tim Holtz Wallpaper. Hopefully it will bring back some memories of you and siblings in front of your Christmas tree.

If you would like to see my process video, you can check it out below.

I wanted to create a room that had some perspective, so I created a template from an image I found on line.

From there, I cut out the wall paper, and used some washi tape to create the wood floor.  The ceiling was created using texture paste.

The Christmas wallpaper this year has some great scenes of winter in the outdoors. It was perfect to use for my window.

25 Days of Christmas Tags

Hi everyone! Today I am participating in the 25 Days of Christmas tags and featuring some great dies from STAMPlorations. You can find all the details over on Tracey's Blog

The two sets that I am using form my tag are Two Reindeer and Luggage tags. These are nesting dies which means that there are several sized that can be layered one on top of the other. This made it very easy for me to cut through one of the smaller tags so that my darker brown card stock would show through. I then used the cut out deer for my second tag.

Here is a closer look at the tags.

It was a quick and easy way to get to fun holiday tags. Be sure to check out all the tags through the 25th. I am sure you will get some great inspiration.

STAMPlorations 4th annual Giving Thanks Blog hop

Hi everyone and welcome to our 4th annual Giving Thanks blog Hop.  We are celebrating today by sharing some of our creations using stamps and dies from STAMPlorations.  You can find all the links and info over on the STAMPlorations blog.

For my card today I am using the Doodle Autumn Pumpkindie along with the Thankful every day phrase  This doodle die is so delicate and intricate, but cuts so nicely. I was able to get a nice clean cut on the first try and didn't tear any part of the die. That is rare for me on these detailed dies, but I was so happy with the results!

Now as I said, this is a hop and there are over $200 in prizes to be giving out. You can also win prizes by visiting our FB and Instagram pages and tagging your friends. Don't forget to link up to the linky party as well which closes on November 30th.

Winners will be announced on December 10th over on the STAMPlorations blog.

Also don't forget from November 12 to 30th, stamps, stencils, and dies are 40% off,…

Masculine Christmas Cards

Hi everyone and happy Saturday. I am sharing a card with you today which is perfect for the men in your life. Many of us struggle with masculine cards, but I am here to show you how to make a fun card that is sure to be a hit.

This card was creating using one of the thinlet dies sets from the Tim Holtz collection.  I created a process video that you can check out below.

This set comes with four characters, so there are lots of options for your Christmas cards. There are several small pieces in these sets, so some patience is required.  I offered a few tips in my video to help you through the process.
But don't get too stressed out, remember, this is suppose to be fun! LOL!

Layered Cards using Ephemera

Hello everyone! Today i am sharing with you my most recent Christmas Cards and Video on You Tube. I love to create layered cards using ephemera. They are probably one of the more easier designs as there is no wrong way to layer!

To watch my process video, click below.

I find when I am layering cards, the thinner the paper the better.  I have some old printer paper (the ones that had the holes on the sided to feed through your printer), but you could use any printer paper you have on hand.

Once you have your ephemera printed, you can cut it out or tear the edges.  I like to add washi tape to the edges so that it gives it a nice finished look.

I have a some ephemera sets in my shop that would work great for this technique. Be sure to check them out in my digital section

This retro Santa set has some great Santa images that would be great focal points on your cards this year. I also have some ephemera sets for your backgrounds.

Passport Card Kit

Hi everyone! Well I finally did it! i took the plunge and created a Passport digital kit.  This has been something I have been thinking about for a while and now that I have a program that will create quality images there was no more excuses!

I created a tutorial video which you can check out below.

This will help you and guide you through the step by step process to create your own passport Angel card.

The kit is now available in my etsy shop. These would be wonderful keepsakes for the holiday season and since it is a digital file, you can create as many as you need!

I have made sure to include lots of ephemera to go along with your kit. These tuck nicely into the pocket or the side tucks.

I have also included some of the other products I used to create this fun holiday card.

Creating Snow scenes

Hi everyone and Happy Sunday. I wanted to share with you a technique for creating a snow scene. While there are many ways to achieve this result, I am showing you one way using white embossing powder.

I am also using a new a new stamp from Deep Red called Christmas Carolers.  If you would like to see my process, you can check out my video below.

After I had finished the card, I wanted to add a little dimension. The small Christmas paper dolls were a perfect addition. They were just the right size and looked great on the foreground of my card.

Creating Keepsake cards

Hi everyone! I am here today to share with you one of the cards I will be creating this year to send to family and friends. I have been rummaging through old photos and came across this old family photo that I thought would make a great Christmas card.

I used the Tim Holtz die to create a frame for this photo and embellished it with some mini ephemera.

You can watch my process video below.

Old vintage Christmas photos make great additions to your Christmas cards, especially when they are your old family photos. These are easy to create and do not take much time at all to put together. In my video, I show you different ways you can decorate your frame to make each card unique.

Have fun!

STAMPlorations - November Sketch challenge

Hi everyone! It is time for our monthly theme and sketch challenge over at STAMPlorations.

For my project, I decided to use the sketch as my inspiration. The stamp I am using is from the Typography collection called Delight in the Joys.

I decided to keep it simple this time and let the sentiment do all the work. There are several sets in the typography collection. This category is one of my favorite!

To play along in the challenge you do not have to use a STAMPlorations stamp, but we would love it if you did. You can link up to 6 projects through the month. To qualify for the prize, you must display the challenge graphic and link back to the challenge post.

Don't forget, if you used my code STAMPGIRLMONICA, you can get an additional 20% off your purchase.

Start your day with Coffee...

Hi everyone! I am here sharing a couple of coffee cards I created using my newest digital image set "Coffee and Wine".  I just love the way silhouette images look on cards, so I was excited when I finally got around to creating this set.

I love working with digital images because I can print and go. If I need to resize them, I can easily pull them into a document and resized to whatever dimensions I need for my project.

Coffee cards are great to have on hand as they make cute quick notes.

To celebrate November, I am offering 10% off all digital images in my shop through Saturday!

STAMPlorations Christmas Release blog hop

Hi everyone and welcome to the STAMPlorations Christmas release Blog hop. We will be sharing with you some great inspiration using some of the new dies for this holiday season.

I am sharing with  you the Two Reindeer Die set. I couldn't decide which die to use, so I used them both. Here is a close look at both cards.

I die cut the first deer on some vintage music paper.
