Santa Passport Card

Hi Crafty friends. I hope everyone had a nice holiday weekend. With Thanksgiving now behind us, it is time to start thinking about Christmas!  To help with this, I have been doing a Christmas Card series over on my You Tube channel all month. Hopefully you have caught some of those videos and I have inspired you for your holiday creations.

For those of you that don't know, I have started creating digital passport card kits and now have two in my shop. I released the Angel one earlier in the month and now I have a Santa Passport card kit available.

Santa Passport Kit
I also created a video to show you how to put this fun kit together.

If you have never seen one of my passport kits, they are great little keepsakes and perfect for holiday gift cards.

I am currently offering 20% off everything in my shop, so this is a good time to pick up both the Santa and the Angel kit.

Thanks for stopping by!

Passport Card Kit

Hi everyone! Well I finally did it! i took the plunge and created a Passport digital kit.  This has been something I have been thinking about for a while and now that I have a program that will create quality images there was no more excuses!

I created a tutorial video which you can check out below.

This will help you and guide you through the step by step process to create your own passport Angel card.

The kit is now available in my etsy shop. These would be wonderful keepsakes for the holiday season and since it is a digital file, you can create as many as you need!

I have made sure to include lots of ephemera to go along with your kit. These tuck nicely into the pocket or the side tucks.

I have also included some of the other products I used to create this fun holiday card.

Thanks for stopping by.

Halloween Passport Card

Hi everyone! I am here today sharing with you my last Halloween project for the season.  As a designer and shop owner, I have to really stay ahead of the season as much as possible and I am diligently working on my Christmas projects and videos at this point. But I wanted to take a moment to share with you my last project, which is a passport card.

Passport cards are one of my favorite designs and they work for any occasion. The base of the card is very easy to create and the theme can be changed up to work for any occasion.

The base of the card is 7 inches wide by 5.5 inches tall. It is scored at 2.5 inches.  Then the card is flipped on it's side and scored again at 3.5 inches.  The second piece of cardstock is cut at 4 inches by 4 inches and scored about 1/4 inch.

You can see my complete process video below.

My favorite part of the card is of course decorating it. I use lots of fun ephemera. I have also started creating my own ephemera which you can find in my etsy shop.

The second page of my card has a fun Halloween night poem that I created and I also included a spooky library card.

For the last page, I adhered the pocket die and cut out some tickets to insert into the slots. It is a fun card to give and creates a great keepsake.

How to create a Passport Book - Birthday Giveaway!

Hello crafty friends! If you have been following me for a while, you have seen my passport cards and books. These things seem to be so popular around the holidays I decided to get a jump start on creating some for my etsy shop.

After I posted my share on you tube, I got many requests to show how I put these books together. Below you will find both videos on my process.

Part 1

Part 1 describes my thought process and organization for putting together this book. It also walks you through creating the outside of the book.

Part 2 walks you through decorating and binding the book. I also share with you some of the items and my process for creating pockets and tucks for all the fun ephemera I add to my passport book.

Part 2

What I love about the passport books are that they can be decorated to fit any theme. While my first passport books were focused on travel themes, Over the years I have created these books using many themes and for many occasions to include Halloween, birthday, baby showers and Christmas.  I have even made Polar Express theme'd books.

I thought the videos would be a good reference for my kits that I am offering in my shop. If you feel a kit is just too ambition, you can always purchase a book that is already created. All you need to do is enjoy it!

To celebrate my birthday, I am also doing a giveaway to 4 subscribers on my you tube channel. I will be giving away:

1 $15 gift certificate to Canvas Corp Brands
1 $15 gift certificate to Scrapbook(dot)com
2 Passport book Kits

12 Days of Christmas - Day 12

Well we did it! We made it to the 12th day of my 12 Days of Christmas series.  I hope that you have enjoyed my cards that I shared and that you learned something new or I at least inspired you to create.

For my last video, I wanted to share with you the process I go through when decorating my passport cards.  My passport cards are a labor of love and I really enjoy finding new creative variations of it.

Coffee Lover's Blog Hop - Day 2

It is Day 2 of the Coffee Lover's blog hop. Hope everyone is having a great time hopping! Of course I had to make a coffee passport card. After all, it is my signature card.

While this is a fun little book like project, it still is a card and I always make sure there is room to write a personal message.

I typically will add a pocket with ephemera where the coffee cup is, but I decided to add a tag and coffee die cup instead.  I popped up the cup with some foam so a fun little gift card can fit directly behind it.

Travel Passport Card

Hey everyone! One of my goals for 2016 is to be able to put these lovely passport cards into kits! Now I know there are a lot of kits out there, but these cards have become so popular and can be altered for so many occasions, I thought I would share the knowledge and supplies to create these fun cards.

There are a lot of embellishments that go into making these cards, and that is what makes up the detail. You will see ephemera throughout, sentiments as well as Tim Holtz rub ons.

These are greeting cards, so you will also get journal cards to share a little hand written note.

Each card has a pocket where you can add a matching tag, fun matching ephemera to go with the theme of the card, or even a gift card.

Now to really make this a passport card, you will need the post marks. I have all 4 So Suzy Stamps post mark stamps that always go in the back of these cards. I hope to release 4 kits next year and each kit will have one of the 4 stamps!

This card is available in my Etsy shop, as well as this fun fun little kit I put together. I found this Travel book kit at Tuesday Morning and decided to add to it to make a starter Passport kit.  The 6 travel stamps are perfect for passport cards, so I thought I would put 2 kits together. Now one is already sold, so I only have one left.

You can find the kit in my etsy store and be on the lookout for future kits in 2016!

I would like to share my card with the following challenges:
