Be my friend

Hello and happy Monday!I am here today sharing a friendship card using a beautiful sentiment from I brake for stamps.

The set is called inspirational plate #2. I am also using the ticket stamp that is part of the half sheet travel set

Sometimes I like to build my scene's around the sentiment, and this sentiment was perfect for a vintage friendship card.  I added several pieces of ephemera to add interest and finished it off with the two little girls.

Collage cards are so easy to create and often times you can use left over scraps, when put together create a great card.

So Suzy Stamps - DT Anniversary Blog Hop

It is hard to believe that it has been a year since So Suzy Stamps had their first ever design team. As a special thank you to everyone who has been on the team, followed our blog and have made new friends, we are doing a Friendship Blog Hop with some of our past and present Design Team members.

If you have arrived from Jennifer's blog, then you are in the right place. But if you happen to have stumbled upon my blog and want to start at the beginning, you can pop back over to So Suzy Stamps where the fun begins.

Your last stop on the hop is Justine's page, where I am sure she has some fun in store for you.

I hope you enjoy taking a hop down memory lane. We have made some wonderful friendships both on and off the team and we hope that they continue and grow in 2016. Make sure that you leave a comment for everyone to be entered in to win a $15 gift certificate to So Suzy Stamps.

Here is a complete list of the hop order in case you got lost along the way.

Path of Positivity - Dedication

September means cooler months ahead ( I hope) and the start of another challenge over at Path of Positivity. Our theme this month is dedication, so it will be fun to see all the write ups about this topic.

When I think about dedication, activities usually come to mind, sports, school, etc. But I rarely think about dedication to friendship. Something that can last through the years and endure change.  We are not the same people we were when we made some of our first friendships, but isn't it fun to know that there are long lasting friendships? Those are the best kinds!

Our sponsor this month is Sparkle N Sprinkle (SNS.) We will be working with their images all month long. I chose this fun one called Wine Friends.

Layering is one of my favorite card techniques and is what I did for my card above. I finished it off with a fun sentiment from Created with TLC.

With all of our challenges, you have a chance to win some fabulous prizes listed below:

PRIZES:

Sparkle N Sprinkle is the sole sponsor offering up:
  • $15.00 worth of digital images for the post or project that the DT deems most inspiring of the bunch.
  • $15.00 worth of digital images for a person chosen in a random draw based on all entrants.
There will also be:
  • One digital designer paper (made to order in a couple different ways) from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles for one lucky person who leaves a comment on posts published during the challenge timeframe.
  • One digital sentiment for every single person who enters the challenge.

We hope to see you play along!

Riley & Company - Card for a Friend

Hello my friends. Today is all about friendship and that is our theme today over at Riley and Company.
Theme: Card for a friend

This is a really fun sentiment and works great for friend cards. There is a lot to see on this card so let me tell you what I did.

I used Tim Holtz tissue paper and adhered it with brads to some white cardstock. I then stamped it using two of the stamps from the Harlequin stamp.  I mounted that onto black card stock and layered it again on tow different polka dot designer papers.

I stuck with the overall theme of polka dots and added a red flower that had white polka dots. It turned out to be a very fun friend card.

A Best Friend is

Happy Saturday! What a week. I am so thankful it is finally the weekend.  I wanted to share a card with you that I made with a new stamp I just got from So Suzy Stamps.

Now if you are not familiar with her stamps, be prepared. She is a little SNARKY! You will see what I mean by taking a closer look at this fun sentiment,

When I saw this, I knew I had to have it. I thought it would be fun with this rubber stamp of two little girls. They look so sweet, but don't mess with them!

Suzy typically has an image that works well with her sentiments, and this one definitely does. I stamped it on the inside of the card. I wanted to make it look all sweet on the outside...but down to business on the inside. Isn't it a hoot?

She also has some fun cutesy images as well, so don't let the SNARK scare you. See for your self. I know you will not be disappointed.

Sentiment:  Dead Body
Inside image: Dirt Mound

Creative Knockouts - Friendship Bears

Happy Thursday!

Time for another fun challenge over at Creative Knockouts

Challenge #17
Sponsor:  Crafty Sentiments
Theme:  Friendship

I love making friendship cards. There are so many possibilities with them and I have so many great sayings.  This challenge also gave me an opportunity to start using some of my fall paper.

The image I got to work with is called "A Gentle Touch". Aren't these two little bears cute? So this is an easy enough challenge. Hope I have enticed you to play along.

Completely Christmas Challenge #18 Friendship Fairy

Good morning...Good afternoon I guess also, depending on where you are at in the world. I am a little late in getting my post up this morning as I usually have it up by now. Life is busy busy busy. But I love how my Christmas Card stash is growing every week!

So today is another day for you to play along at our challenge over at Completely Christmas. We are always anything goes...as long as it is a Christmas theme.

Our sponsor this week is Sprinkle and Sparkle. The image I worked with today is called Holly the Christmas Friendship Fairy. This is a great image for Friends or Family during the holidays. So be sure to check out the store over at Sprinkle and Sparkle.

Now for my inspiration.

The paper I used is not your traditional Christmas paper, but I loved the swirls and glitter on it and thought it would look good as background. I added a few gems and called it a day. Sometimes simplicity is best, especially when you are working with such a great image.

So check us out this week over at Completely Christmas. We would love to see what you create.
