Coffee talk among friends

Hi everyone! Well this is my last card for the Coffee Lover's blog hop. I wanted my last one to make you laugh and hopefully I have succeeded!  I want to say "Thank You" to all the hoppers that have stopped by my blog this week and given me some kind words. I truly appreciate your support!

This is an old stamp that I have had forever. It is from Emerson.  It always seems to make an appearance in the blog hops, but come on, there are so many phrases that work with this stamp! It is one of my favorites.

The sentiment is from the funny bones collection over at Riley and Company.  Here is the second part of the stamp.

A Best Friend is

Happy Saturday! What a week. I am so thankful it is finally the weekend.  I wanted to share a card with you that I made with a new stamp I just got from So Suzy Stamps.

Now if you are not familiar with her stamps, be prepared. She is a little SNARKY! You will see what I mean by taking a closer look at this fun sentiment,

When I saw this, I knew I had to have it. I thought it would be fun with this rubber stamp of two little girls. They look so sweet, but don't mess with them!

Suzy typically has an image that works well with her sentiments, and this one definitely does. I stamped it on the inside of the card. I wanted to make it look all sweet on the outside...but down to business on the inside. Isn't it a hoot?

She also has some fun cutesy images as well, so don't let the SNARK scare you. See for your self. I know you will not be disappointed.

Riley & Company - Food or Drink Challenge

Guess what? It is time for another challenge over at Riley and Company. Our theme this week is Food or Drink. Ahhh, my two favorite things.

If you have been following me, you know I love to  make Coffee cards and Martini cards. So this challenge is perfect for me. Now, in order to play along, you need to use a Riley and Company image. If you do not have an Riley images, be sure to check out our Riley and Company Designs. I am sure you will find something you will love and just can't live without.

For my card I one of the new Retro people "Doris" and another one of my funny bones. I picked up this ribbon at a thrift store, if you can believe it and I knew it would work perfect with this image and theme. Both of these images are available over at Riley and Company.

Santa Wanted...Dead or Alive

Have you ever started down a path and found that you eventual ended up some place you never anticipated? Well that happens occasionally when I am making cards. I have an idea in my mind and when I start putting it together, I find myself going in a different direction. That happened to me today. I pulled out all my Christmas stamps, and borrowed a few from my Mother in Law and started playing with the stamps. Many of my cards have a vintage feel, and of course that is the direction I started. But here is where I ended up.

Wanted: Dead or Alive

The stamp looked like Santa was on a wanted poster and that is what gave me the idea. I knew that I had some black striped paper as I had used it for some Halloween cards I made and used my distressing ink to make the paper look aged. Now I typically do not make humorous cards, but occasionally I make a good one.  I just love the way it turned out. I hope it does not get me on Santa's Naughty list!
