STAMPlorations Christmas Release blog hop

Hi everyone and welcome to the STAMPlorations Christmas release Blog hop. We will be sharing with you some great inspiration using some of the new dies for this holiday season.

I am sharing with  you the Two Reindeer Die set. I couldn't decide which die to use, so I used them both. Here is a close look at both cards.

I die cut the first deer on some vintage music paper.

I decided to dress my second deer up with a little scarf for this first card. I also embossed the white circle so that the deer would stand out.

Now don't forget this is a hop so here are the details:

Comment on each blog for a chance to win one of two choice prizes - (1) cover plate die and (1) word/phrase die or a $15 GC to the store. Commenting closes on November 9 and winner will be announced on November 10th.

Also from October 29 to November 12 dies in the Christmas Dies section are 10% off. You can get an extra 20% off by using coupon code: STAMPGIRLMONICA.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the hop.

Imagine - Flip Book

Hi everyone. I am popping in to share with you a flip book I created as a special order through my etsy shop.

The paper that I used is from Graphic 45 and it is the imagine set.

For the base of the card, I used Thick Cardstock from Canvas Corp Brands.  This is a flip book and it is very important to have a sturdy base to hold all the layers.

You can check out my video below where I flipped through the book and pages.

Graphic 45 always has such beautiful paper to work with. They always have matching stickers, cardstock and Ephemera as well which works great when you are creating projects such as this one.

The stickers always have great quotes that I can add to my pages.

I also like to add blank paper where you can journal your thoughts as well.

Finally on the last page, I did add a pocket, like what you would find in a library book and added a couple more pieces of ephemera.

I hope you enjoyed my share. It was a fun project to create, but definitely a lot of work!

Halloween Passport Card

Hi everyone! I am here today sharing with you my last Halloween project for the season.  As a designer and shop owner, I have to really stay ahead of the season as much as possible and I am diligently working on my Christmas projects and videos at this point. But I wanted to take a moment to share with you my last project, which is a passport card.

Passport cards are one of my favorite designs and they work for any occasion. The base of the card is very easy to create and the theme can be changed up to work for any occasion.

The base of the card is 7 inches wide by 5.5 inches tall. It is scored at 2.5 inches.  Then the card is flipped on it's side and scored again at 3.5 inches.  The second piece of cardstock is cut at 4 inches by 4 inches and scored about 1/4 inch.

You can see my complete process video below.

My favorite part of the card is of course decorating it. I use lots of fun ephemera. I have also started creating my own ephemera which you can find in my etsy shop.

The second page of my card has a fun Halloween night poem that I created and I also included a spooky library card.

For the last page, I adhered the pocket die and cut out some tickets to insert into the slots. It is a fun card to give and creates a great keepsake.

Forboding Fortunes

Hi everyone I am here today with another Halloween card and video. This time I created a Fortune Tellers card and I also included some fun fortunes inside the card.

If you want to see how I created this card you can check out the video below.

What was really fun about this card is that I decorated the inside and used the pocket die from Sizzix.  This was perfect to hold some fun fortune teller cards from VectoriaDesigns.

The fit nicely into the pocket and can also be removed very easily.

The Dr. is in...

Hi everyone. I am here today sharing my most recent project and video. Sometimes my ideas and inspiration come from the strangest places and this one is no exception.

Many of us remember the Peanuts comic strip. Lucy had a booth, kind of like a lemonaide stand where she offered Psychiatric advice for 5¢. So instead of offering psychiatric advice, I decided to offer elixers & Potions.

If you would like to see my process video, you can check it out below.

I created the booth using the Sizzix postage die and some paper from the new Halloween Tim Holtz collection. I also used some ephemera and stickers to decorate the booth.

I also decided it would be fun to create a matching card. I really wanted to use that 5¢ remnant rub.

I have a few more Halloween cards and videos to post before the month is over. I hope that you check out my video and subscribe to my channel so that you don't miss a post.

Thanks for stopping by.

STAMPlorations - October Challenge

Hello and welcome back to our monthly theme and sketch challenge over at STAMPlorations.  This month our theme is Stamps & Autumn.  If this theme does not catch your fancy, then you are also welcome to play along using our sketch shown below.

For my project, I decided to use both the sketch and the theme. My background was created using some Graphic 45 paper and the stamp I am using is from the TYPOGRAFIA Thankful Collection called Full of Thanksgiving.

Embellished cards can be more expensive and difficult to mail, but they are perfect to be hand delivered to family and friends this holiday season.

I also created a video to share with you my process for creating this card. You can check it out by clicking the link below.

Now don't forget to play along this month in our sketch and theme challenge. Be sure to check out some of the other challenges running this month as well.

As a reminder, if you use code: STAMPGIRLMONICA, you can get an additional 20% off your purchase!

Collage Envelope

Hi everyone! I wanted to share with you a collage project that I created using some printables from my etsy shop. I was recently at a Thrift shop and found some great card board envelopes that were perfect for collaging.  I also found a stack of some old printer paper that was just perfectly aged.

So I decided to print out some vintage ephemera on my vintage paper and use it to create a collage. The paper is perfect as it is thin and distressed. Perfect for collaging. You can check out my process video below.

I used both Matte Distress Collage Medium and Vintage Collage Medium for my adhesive. The vintage gives the paper perfect staining while working as extra adhesive.

These envelopes are perfect size to house some of my vintage ephemera. You can get one of these little pouches in my etsy shop.

Or better yet, you can create your own collage by using some of my printables also in my shop.
