Thoughts of Fall

Hello Crafty friends! I am here today to share with you a simple Fall card I made using a Leaf punch from Fiskars and a sentiment stamp from I Brake for stamps from the Inspirational Plate #2 set.

What is great about this set is that it will work in any season. The designer paper is actually from my scrap drawer. I found three coordinating pieces to create this Fall design.

I added some washi tape and as a finishing touch and a few Nuvo drops as embellishments.

Don't forget you can get 10% off over at I brake for stamps by using coupon code SAVE10MONICA.

Coffee Lover's Blog Hop - Day 2 Pumpkin Latte

Hello hoppers and coffee lovers. For day 2 of the Coffee Lover's blog hop I decided to create a pumpkin spiced latte card. I had some of this beautiful graphic 45 paper in my scrap pile, just enough for a card.

I picked up this little coffee Die from Taylored expressions last summer and have not had a chance to use it yet.  It is so cute and small, not how we like our coffee, but great for a card.

October release - So Suzy Stamps

Wait...You must be thinking today is not the 1st day of the month, but we thought we would shake it up a bit this month and have the new release on the 5th of the month over at So Suzy Stamps!

Fall Leaves using Embellishment Mousse

I love creating with Fall colors, so I was very excited to try out my new Nuvo Embellishment Mouse on a Fall card.  I have been wanting to purchase a Maple Leaf Stencil and just have not gotten around to it so I improvised!

Honoring Paris

I love making Parisian cards! I love the character and ambiance the city brings. Parisian themes work well with my vintage style of card making and you see this theme in my cards often.

I have been fortunate to have been to Paris twice and I often tell my husband I would love to go back. I have fond memories of my Paris trip and I will not let the scare of terrorism keep me from the city of Love!

I made these Fall note cards a couple of weeks ago and had not had a chance to post them yet. I used some printables from VectoriaDesigns along with an altered game piece, tissue paper, washi tape and an embossing folder.

I have four other tags that came with this printable set and I plan on making a full note card set.

You can find these printables along with some other wonderful vintage inspired printables over at VectoriaDesigns.

So Suzy Stamps - November Release

Happy November! I hope everyone is ready for this month's So Suzy Stamps  release because it is sure to knock your socks off!

To help celebrate the release we are also having our monthly challenge over on the So Suzy Stamps blog and our theme this month is...Thanksgiving/Fall.

For my first card this month I am using this little cutie called Turkey dinner. This is such a darling little image and so perfect for a Thanksgiving card. I just loved coloring her up.

Happy Fall!

I love Fall, and I love making Fall cards. This fun little cutie is from Riley and company and is called Popping Pumpkin Riley.

Even though we are starting to get a bit busy, there is always time to make a fun Fall Card. The sentiment I used is called A Fallen Leaf and work wonderfully for all my Fall cards. The paper stack I used is from Recollections and is called Night and Fall.

Hope you have a great day!

Pumpkin Patch - Canvas

Hi everyone! Happy Fall. I am so glad that the weather is finally starting to cool down here in Arizona! I am really getting into these fall projects and I am here to share one of them with you.

This cute little image from So Suzy Stamps is called Pumpkin Patch, so why not create some "Patch" work to go along with this fun little image.

Now you know I am a Vintage girl, so of course I had to vintage it up.  I started with some torn up pieces of paper from 7 gypsies Postale stack.  Once I had them torn, I distressed all the edges with Walnut Stain Distressing ink.

I framed the canvas using some washi tape, then adhered all the pieces using Mod Podge.

Here is what my canvas looked like once I had it completely covered. Then the fun began.

I altered 4 game pieces using alchol ink and K&Company initial transfers to go to crate the Fall sentiment. I picked these up at a thrift store and are great for cards and mixed media.

Mixed media is all about aesthetics. You just keep mixing, matching and rearranging until you get the look you like. That is why I love mixed media, it really does bring out my creative juices!
