Collage Envelope

Hi everyone! I wanted to share with you a collage project that I created using some printables from my etsy shop. I was recently at a Thrift shop and found some great card board envelopes that were perfect for collaging.  I also found a stack of some old printer paper that was just perfectly aged.

So I decided to print out some vintage ephemera on my vintage paper and use it to create a collage. The paper is perfect as it is thin and distressed. Perfect for collaging. You can check out my process video below. 

I used both Matte Distress Collage Medium and Vintage Collage Medium for my adhesive. The vintage gives the paper perfect staining while working as extra adhesive. 

These envelopes are perfect size to house some of my vintage ephemera. You can get one of these little pouches in my etsy shop. 

Or better yet, you can create your own collage by using some of my printables also in my shop.

Floral Collage Paper

It is always a fun day in the studio when I have new products to play with and try out.  I recently picked up the new Tim Holtz idea-ology Collage Paper and was anxious to give it a try. 

The paper comes in three designs. Today I am trying out the floral design. I created this wall frame along with a couple of other cards.

The floral collage paper is great for spring cards.  I also used Lindy's Magicals and some great botanical ephemera to complete my designs.

Here is a close up on one of the cards I created using the collage paper.  I also added some turquoise corrugated paper and a metal band to give the card some great color and texture. 

This card has some similar featured, but I only used torn pieces of the collage paper as an accent and focused more on the ephemera as my focal point.  I also used some texture paste and thinlet dies to create a nice spring scene.

7 Days of Halloween...Coming soon!

I have been blogging for over 3 years now. Yes it is hard to believe, but it is true. Well, I have finally taken the plunge into videos. Yes I now have a You Tube channel. Did you know that? Well if not, you do now.

I think holidays are a perfect time to start my video making endeavor, after all, there are so many people crafting during the holidays. So since I have picked up a few tricks along the way, I thought I would start sharing some of my creations. I hope that you join me on my journey.

With that being said, I am planning a 7-Days of Halloween video series sometime next month! I hope to share with you some of the fun products I use during Halloween, and hopefully give you some ideas along the way.

To give you a little taste of what you can expect, I have created this wall collage using some of my favorite supplies, and a few new ones as well.

While I cannot afford all the new fun items, I do splurge on a few. One of them was the new washi tape bundle. I found a technique to create backgrounds using washi tape and that was what  chose to do for this canvas.
