12 MoC Link Up - Let it Snow

It is time again to share my card for the 12MOC link up. It you have not had a chance to link up your cards yet, there is still time. Hopefully this will give you a little inspiration.

Theme:  Let it Snow
Paper:  Snowfest

Snow is always a fun theme for Christmas cards. I know that there are many people that celebrate Christmas in their summer months, but that is so hard for me to imagine.  I grew up in San Diego and now live in Phoenix, Arizona, so we don't see snow during the Christmas holiday, but white Christmas' are still very beautiful.

I loved the simplicity of this image. There is so much that you can do with it.  I layered it on top of one of Lisa's papers from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles called Snowfest.

The background paper is from MAMBI (Me & My Big Ideas) and kinda looks like it is stenciled. I wanted to compliment the paper give the background some texture so I used a stencil called burlap to adhere some texture paste. I had this fun little Dec 25th stamp that fit just perfectly, so I added that as a final touch.

Now since we are already in mid March, I sure hope you have started your Christmas Cards. If not, this is a great time to get ahead and avoid the December rush.  Hope to see you over there.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Items I used:

Don't be afraid to stand out and be UNIQUE!

It is time for the mid month inspiration from the design team over at Path of Positivity.

Theme: Uniqueness

When I saw this image from Scribbles by Design, I knew I would have fun with it. When I sat down to put my card together, I had to decide, which one of the Boys would "stand out." They are all so unique.

Many of the DT chose to use this image. You can see just within the team, how "unique" each of our talents are. We all have different styles. But hopefully that gives you readers lots of ideas and inspiration to play along.

This sentiment is by Dr. Seuss. Seemed perfect for this group shot.

The sponsors and prizes for this challenge are:
  • A prize package worth $10 of digi images (digital papers not applicable) from Scribbles Designs, one of our guest sponsors this month, for the post or project that the DT deems most inspiring of the bunch.
  • A $10 gift certificate from Ike's Art, one of our guest sponsors this month, for a person chosen in a random draw based on all entrants.
  • One digital image from Creative Bug Digital SnapShots for each person chosen as a DT Delight.
There will also be:
  • One digital designer paper (made to order in a couple different ways) from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles for one lucky voter who leaves a comment.
  • One digital sentiment for every single person who enters the challenge.

So, have I inspired you? We would love to see your unique talents!

Path of Positivity #11 - Love

Hello everyone. Hope your Monday has been fabulous! This is my first official post as a new member on the Design Team over at Path of Positivity.

I am excited to be part of this awesome challenge!  The theme this month is LOVE. Well seems appropriate since it is the month of Love. Love is described as one of the greatest emotions of all. It can have so many different meanings. It is an emotion that can start out small and continue to grow for years and years, and change along the way. It is probably one of the most difficult emotions to describe because it can mean so many different things.

I have started this post and come back to it many times as I wanted to think about what LOVE means to me. It always comes back to family! My son said to me some time ago that his "family" is of the minority as many of his friends families are divorced. I told him that marriage is hard, but it is something that his father and I believe in and do not take lightly. We were friends first and have always tried to work through our problems rather than "bail out." There has always been LOVE, so it was always worth it.

We chose to have one child as we wanted to give him the best opportunities possible. He will be 17 this month and boy have these past couple of years been interesting and sometimes tough. It is so hard for a mother not to try and shelter their children and help them to avoid pain and mistakes. But it seems that he has learned best through those mistakes and that has to be the strongest Love of all to be able to step aside and allow that.

Our Sponsor this month is Scribbles Designs. The image I chose to work with is called "Carl I heart you" and the sentiment is from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles

As always, we have some amazing prizes:
  • Ten digital images from Creative Bug Digitals for the person out of the top seven who receives the most votes during the voting week.
  • Three digital images from Ike's World for the post or project that th eDT deems most inspiring of the bunch.
  • Three digitals images from Scribbles Designs, our guest sponsor this month, for a person chosen in a random draw based on all entrants.
  • One digital design paper from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles for one lucky voter who leaves a comment.
  • One digital sentiment for every single person who enters the challenge from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles as well.

None of this would be possible without our sponsors. Please pop over and check out their work if you have a chance. They would love for you to say hi.

So what does LOVE mean to you? I hope that you take some time this month to join us over at Path of Positivity and share a story or thought...along with a project if you so desire.
