Path of Positivity - Resiliency

Hello and Happy Monday. I am so happy that it is finally October! The mornings here in Arizona have finally started to cool down and I am enjoying the cooler weather.

We are starting another challenge over at Path of Positivity where our theme is Resiliency. The image I am working with is from Ike's Art and is called Vaguely Goth.

I decided to make a mixed media canvas to showcase resiliency in being ones self. Sometimes people see us in a particular way, but it is important for us to become who we choose to be, not what we are expected to be. this takes resilience and dedication to ones self. 

I hope that my mixed media canvas portrays a bit of who I am.

I decided to use Christmas Pixie for my image choice this month. She is so cute with a little sexy, I just could not resist her. I also had a choice of paper from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles and I went with Hugs & Kisses.

Optional Theme:  I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus 

It is the month of love, and even Santa seems to be getting in on the action. "I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus." I guess the Jolly ole' guy is allowed to celebrate other "holidays" as well. So in honour of the month of LOVE, we would LOVE for you to use our optional theme and create some "Sassy" Christmas Cards. Use your imagination, but P.G. only please.

In order to have a chance to win the prize from our wonderful guest sponsor this month, make sure that your card has some sort of "sassy" element on it.  Whether in the paper you use, your image or your embellishments, your sassy element is up to you.  If you do follow the optional theme, be sure to add FT after your name so that we include you in the draw for the prize.  This is important as we are not always going to have the time to go through each entry to see if it qualifies. You don't want to miss out on the chance at the sponsor's prize.

Remember, you don't need to follow the theme to link up your cards and earn a free paper each month and have your name thrown into the year end draw for some extra digital goodies. You only need to follow the theme if you want a chance to win this month's sponsored prize of a $10.00 gift certificate from Ike's Art.

When I saw this image from Scribbles by Design, I knew I would have fun with it. When I sat down to put my card together, I had to decide, which one of the Boys would "stand out." They are all so unique.

Many of the DT chose to use this image. You can see just within the team, how "unique" each of our talents are. We all have different styles. But hopefully that gives you readers lots of ideas and inspiration to play along.

This sentiment is by Dr. Seuss. Seemed perfect for this group shot.

Path of Positivity - Uniqueness

Happy New Year! It is time for another challenge over at Path of Positivity.

What would the world be like if we were all the same? Pretty boring! Uniqueness is a great trait. It sets each of us apart. It may be in the way we dress, our personalities, our beliefs or even our thoughts.

I chose the image Teenager from Ike's Art as in our Teen years, we sometimes try so hard to fit in. It is not until later years that we have the courage to be who we are. It is those teens that have confidence in who they are that they show their uniqueness in the early years.

The sentiment is from Ginger's House. I just love some of the sentiments she offers up. This sentiment fits perfect for the theme this month!

I decided to decorate the inside of my card as well. I have seen many cards recently decorated this way and I was inspired! This fancy fold shows some of the inside of my card, so I wanted to make sure it matched.
