Signs of Summer - Challenge #4 Creative Bug Digitals

 

It is a new month and that means a new challenge over at  Creative Bug on the Loose. Our theme this month is "Signs of Summer." I am in Arizona and the Heat is definitely is a sign of summer.  But there are so many other signs, butterflies, flowers, and frogs ribbiting in the ponds. Those frogs remind me of summer camping, so that is where I got my inspiration this month!

The image I chose to work with is called Frogalicious. What a great name huh? It is available along with many other wonderful images over at Creative Bug Digital Snapshots.

I added the sentiment from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles for a perfect fit. I used various card stock from my stash, punched out a few butterflies, added a few buttons and some washi tape and here is my finished product-

Path of Positivity #11 - Love

Hello everyone. Hope your Monday has been fabulous! This is my first official post as a new member on the Design Team over at Path of Positivity.

I am excited to be part of this awesome challenge!  The theme this month is LOVE. Well seems appropriate since it is the month of Love. Love is described as one of the greatest emotions of all. It can have so many different meanings. It is an emotion that can start out small and continue to grow for years and years, and change along the way. It is probably one of the most difficult emotions to describe because it can mean so many different things.

I have started this post and come back to it many times as I wanted to think about what LOVE means to me. It always comes back to family! My son said to me some time ago that his "family" is of the minority as many of his friends families are divorced. I told him that marriage is hard, but it is something that his father and I believe in and do not take lightly. We were friends first and have always tried to work through our problems rather than "bail out." There has always been LOVE, so it was always worth it.

We chose to have one child as we wanted to give him the best opportunities possible. He will be 17 this month and boy have these past couple of years been interesting and sometimes tough. It is so hard for a mother not to try and shelter their children and help them to avoid pain and mistakes. But it seems that he has learned best through those mistakes and that has to be the strongest Love of all to be able to step aside and allow that.
