Graphic 45 Master Detective

Graphic 45 has a new paper stack that recently came out. At first glance, you may not think that it is a Halloween paper stack, but it sure works great as one.

The paper theme is Sherlock Holmes, Master detective, but the coordinating paper is full of spider webs, skeletons and such, which is perfect for Halloween.

I have shared my process video with Scrapbook.com. If you would like to see how I put this book together, be sure to check out the video below.

The book has three page inserts which creates 6 pages to decorate. You can also decorate the front cover to match your theme. What is great about this die cut is that you can decorate your passport book for most any occasion.

The theme is dictated by your paper choice as well as your embellishments. There are so many possibilities with this die cut, it is well worth the cost.

I have created pockets on some of the pages so that a gift card or some fun ephemera can be added.

There are also pages for journal entries.

I have listed all the supplies I used to create this passport book below. I hope you have as much fun with it as I have.

Crafting with Dictionary pages

Hi everyone! I am here today to share with you one of the easiest ways to create a vintage inspired card. This technique can be accomplished with most any type of stamp.  Today I am working with a stamp from I Brake For Stamps called Large Dandelion.

I often go to used bookstores and look for old books. I especially like to find old dictionaries.  A while ago, I found a small one that had the perfect pages for 5" x 7" cards.  I like to find a page that is appropriate to the theme and the word "silhouette" was perfect.

Silhouette stamps work best as you can stamp with black ink and it easily covers the words on the page. The stamps make a bold statement and the dictionary page is not the focal point, but the background.

The sentiment is called "The Path" and is part of the inspirational Plate #2 set. It is a perfect match for this stamp as it measures up nicely next to the stem. The sentiment letters were a bit thin, so I did use clear embossing powder to darken up the ink just a bit.  I matted the dictionary page onto some black card stock and mounted that onto two pieces of designer paper.

It is a very easy technique, which produces a great vintage inspired card.

Don't forget that you can get 10% off over at I Brake for stamps using Coupon Code: SAVE10MONICA.

Mixed Media Halloween Cards

Hi everyone! Are you intimidated when it comes to mixed media? Well, I know I was in the beginning as well. I am here to share with a Halloween mixed media card that has lots of great colors, textures, and is easy to create.

The Jack O Lantern Stencil I am working with is from Clear Scrap and the Leaf Punch is called Intricate Flair. If you want to see a step by step process, you can click on the video below.

This card has several layers of texture. I started out using a honey comb embossing folder.  From there I added Nuvo Embellishment Mousse and some fall color distress crayons.

Once I was happy with my background, I added the Jack O Lantern using my stencil from Clear Scraps and Some Copper Crackle Texture paste.

The leaves were created using some distress oxides and a Punch called Autumn Flair Intricate Punch.  I added a few embellishments and my card was complete.

I have listed all the products that I used to create these beautiful fall cards. If you have never worked with mixed media products, I encourage you to give them a try. They really are a lot of fun and the results are awesome!

Thanks for stopping by.

Birthday Bug - A2Z Scrapbooking

Hey friends! I am here today sharing a little inspiration for the current challenge going on over at A2ZScrapbooking.

I decided to go digital this time and am sharing some images from the City Adventures Digital Kit.

I love the VW Bugs and Wagons, especially the older ones. My husband owned one when he was in college and it was stolen and stripped for parts. I don't think he ever got over it. So in honor of his BUG, I decided to create a couple of birthday cards.

These backgrounds are very Bright and Beautiful, which fits in to this months theme over at A2ZScrapbooking.

Don't forget that you can get 25% off your purchase from the store using coupon code MonicaT15 when you spend $25 or more.

For the inside of the cards I used digital set Special Birthday

Digital images can easily be imported to your word documents and sized to whatever size you need. They are a great way to increase you image collection without having to have extra storage space.

These cards are available for purchase in my etsy shop! Would love for you to check them out.

Thanks for stopping by!
