Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! I hope everyone so far is having a wonderful day with Family and Friends. I wanted to share with you my last Christmas Card of the season.  I am using the Music Sheet Background from I Brake for stamps and have stamped the Large Grungy Leaves stamps over it.

The Large Grungy Leaves stamps was the perfect addition to give the background some color.

Sometimes we forget how accent stamps can add great contrast to our backgrounds. This stamp can be used all year round and for so many occasions.

Christmas tote bag

While many of you know me as a paper crafter, I also sew. I did a lot of sewing years ago and now hope to be doing more into next year.  I have unpacked my sewing machine and have it now set up in my craft room to remind me to USE IT!

I created this little tote bag to house some of the cards I created this season using the Farmhouse Christmas design from Canvas Corp Brands. This is probably one of my favorite designs for the season. It is very traditional vintage, which is what I love.

The set also comes with various add on, like this tag set which are great for coordinating gift sets.

This was a very simple pattern and I was able to use some coordinating black canvas for the bottom of my bag.  I also lined it with canvas, but I think I may use a lighter material in the future.

The bag is large enough to house A2 cards and make a perfect gift set. I posted earlier this month where I shared with you my process for creating these holiday cards in bulk. Feel free to check it out for some ideas.

STAMPlorations - True North - Mid Month inspirtaion

It is time for my mid month inspiration for our Sketch and theme challenge over at STAMPlorations.

I am using the True North Stamp set for my card today.

This time I decided to go with the sketch shown below.

I used distress ink for my background and created som shadowing to create some waives.  This was my first attempt at my background and I was pleased with the way it turned out.

There is still time to play along, so why not show us what you got!

A Girl loves her Teddy Bear...

Hey everyone. I am sharing a cute vintage Christmas card I created using this adorable stamp called My Bear from I Brake for stamps. I love these stamps that are re created from vintage photos. They are great for creating vintage style cards.

I stamped the image using Black archival ink. I thought it looked like a negative from a photo so I decided to go with that theme.

I dry embossed some black cardstock and added some metallic distress crayon to the edges.  I framed some white cardstock with some washi tape before cutting it with my rectangular die stitch.

From There I adhered my image, added some ribbon film strip and a metal element.

Farm Fresh Coffee

Hi crafty friends. It is such a busy time of year and with the move and planning for our trip to Rome, it has not slowed down one bit. I did however make some time to at least get one card in on the Winter Coffee Lover's Blog hop

I made this card for my neighbor and I added a Coffee spin so that I could play along. Our neighbors purchased an old farmhouse about a year ago and we hardly see them now. They spend most of their time and holidays up there.  I thought it would be fun to create a Christmas card using that theme (and Coffee) of course.

The Tow Truck is an Architexture piece from 7gypsies. I decided to make that my focal piece. Let me tell you what I did.

I started out by stamping a 4.25" x 5.5" piece of paper with the Wood background stamp from I Brake for stamps. I then layered it on top of the Coffee Card stock from Canvas Corp Brands. The Tow Truck is a sticker, so I adhered it to the base of my card and then added the tree from the Tim Holtz Home for the Holidays Die set.

The Farmhouse and Open sign are from an Architextures 8x8 paper pad. Then I finished it off with a few more details to include the sticker screws on the Farmhouse sign and the "Fresh Coffee" label.

So come on in for a Fresh Cup of Coffee! We would love to have you.

Pinecone Background Stamp

Hi everyone. I am here today sharing a very simple Christmas card I created using one of the holiday background stamps over at I brake for stamps. This stamp is called Pinecone Background and is beautiful for Christmas or winter cards.

I stamped the image using Vintage photo Distress oxides then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.  I added some green using one of my distress crayons.

I used two rectangular stitch die cuts to cut out two pieces and matted them onto some craft cardstock.  From there I added a big bow and a sentiment and adhered that to some white card stock.

Tonic Studios Dimensions - Eric & Erin Elf

Hello friends! I am here today to share with you another Christmas Card I created using one of the Dimensions Die Cuts from Tonic Studios.

If you would like to see my process for creating this card, you can also check out my video linked below.

For this piece, I used several of the Tim Holtz idea-ology collection along with a printable from VectoriaDesigns.

To begin with, I cut out a piece of heavy weight red card stock 4.75" x 6.75" and frayed the edges with my distressing tool. I then cut out a piece of the red and white striped Deco Art Paper a few cm smaller than my base.

Using my big shot, I cut out an oval frame using my oval die cut and floral frame. I added a tag I printed from VectoriaDesigns just off to the left of my oval frame. I added some washi tape to my base, then adhered my oval frame and tag.

I already had my elf put together, so I adhered him to my frame.

With my focal piece in place, it was ready for some layers...

I added some ephemera as well as one of the Tim Holtz Holiday Flash cards. To age the flash card, I did sand it down. I also added a believe metal token.

I also add a metal plaquette and a Christmas quote chip.

I hope that you have enjoyed my creative process in piecing this card together.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Vintage Christmas Tags

One of my favorite additions to Christmas Presents are handmade Christmas tags. This is a way to personalize your gifts and add fun unique additions to your presents.

Christmas tags don't have to be fancy to be beautiful. I created these tags using the child on sled stamp from I Brake for Stamps. This vintage image has so much detail and is perfect as a black and white image.

I added some snow flake stickers and labels to create the sentiment "Let it Snow". I finished it off with some black and white twine.
