With the holidays right around the corner, many of us will begin to create our Christmas Cards. For some, this becomes a daunting task to create the same design over and over again.
But with the right process, and assembly line, bulk projects can be easy to put together in half the time. It is all about organization and planning.
The first step is to pre cut all of your cardstock. Determine how many finished projects you will need and then measure and cut.
For this project I needed the following sizes:
- 7" x 5.5" - Base Score at 2.75"
- 4" x 4.5" - 2nd page Score at .75"
- 5.25" x 4" - Back page cover
- 1.5" x 3" - Pocket
Once everything is cut I then scored and rounded the corners.I also added the pocket and decorative washi tape. This is also a good time to do any stamping.
Now we are ready to assemble. Add adhesive to the folded edge of the middle insert and adhere to the back panel of the base card. This should now give you 3 pages.
At this point you also want to adhere any decorative tags like I did on this one. As an added embellishment I did add a black ribbon to the tag and printed out some cute ephemera to insert in the pocket.
I also added a piece of ephemera on the inner page. You could easily add an additional piece of coordinated cardstock if desired.
While bulk projects do take an extra bit of time, with a bit of organization and planning, you will cut down on your time immensely without sacrificing your design or quality of the finished project.
