Path of Positivity Challenge #10 - midway post - Generosity

Hello! It is mid month and my second post as Guest Designer over at Path of Positivity where the theme this month is Generosity. There still is plenty of time to participate and get your projects posted. Remember, when posting your item to tell us what generosity means to you.

My inspiration for this card came from Ike's Art and the image is called New Baby.
New Baby

When I first saw this image, it looked like a gift from God..and the most generous gift of all is a new baby. I combined the New Baby image with a sentiment from Decosse Dynamite doodles to come up with my finished card.

I have been very fortunate in my life. I have a healthy son, a good job and we live comfortably. I know that there are not as many as fortunate as I have been and I try to remember that. I volunteer my time when I can, and donate to worthy causes. This year I started donating some of my cards to cards for hospitalized kids and also hope to donate some to Operation Write Home which is an organization that collects cards for military to use and keep in touch with their loved ones. I try to live my life with a generous heart and count my blessings every day.

The paper is from DCWV the Heirloom Stack and I used my Chromatix markes to color in the image.
I hope that I have inspired you to join us!! There still is plenty of time and don't forget to share with us your meaning of Generosity.

Path of Positivity challenge #10 - Generosity

It is the first week of the year and a first for me as a guest designer over at Path of Positivity Challenges!  The intent of this blog is to bring some positive "conversation" and "creations" to the blogging world through challenge blog themes.

This month the theme is "Generosity"

Coming right off from the holidays, I am sure we have lots of inspiration from the Generosity given and received. It is easy to be generous during the month of December as everyone seems to also be in the giving mode. But it is important to be generous throughout the year. Generosity is a quality, like honesty and patience. It comes in all forms, not just a monetary. It is a quality of being kind, understanding and not selfish, something we can offer all year long.

The guest sponsor for the first half of the month is Digistamps 4Joy  DS4J

Vase of Hearts

The image I chose to work with is Vase of Hearts, but she has some other wonderful images that would work perfect for Valentine's Day!

Here is what I came up with:

I love this quote because it is so true. If we all did something generous daily, imagine the impact we could make. It is simple, but says a lot.

**January Prizes**

  • Three digital images from Ike's World for the post or project that the DT deems most inspiring of the bunch
  • A prize of an FIVE images from DigiStamps4Joy, our guest sponsor this month, for a person chosen in a random draw based on all entrants
  • One digital designer paper from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles for one lucky voter who leaves a comment
  • One digital sentiment for every single person who enters the challenge from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles as well.
And custom Badges for the Top Seven!

Here is what I used on my card:

  • White Card stock for base of card

  • Blue paper which I distressed with my sandpaper
  • Blue checkered Paper from stash to make banner
  • Used my scallop punch to make edging for banner
