National Scrapbook Day!

I know I am a day late for National Scrapbook day, but in my house everyday is scrapbook day!
My pal Lisa Decosse offered up some cute scissor paper in honor of the celebrations, so I decided to incorporate it into a card.

The stamp I am using is from So Suzy Stamps and is called Craft Room. Love this image. It is very vintage and I just love vintage looking stamps. The sentiment is from A Piece of Heart.

Lisa is offering up this cute little paper over at her blog for free, so be sure to pop over and check it out. You can get to her blog by clicking on the paper below.

Hope everyone had a Crafty Day!

The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up Cross Over

Did you know that Imagine that now has a new monthly challenge? I have participated in her monthly Stamp of the Month progressive challenges, but now she has a challenge where you can use any digi from Imagine That.

Paper: Holly Boughs

It is perfect timing as I needed to make one more Christmas Card. Also, a perfect opportunity to showcase my Cross over card for The 12 Months of Christmas Link up. The digital paper is from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles and worked great with the paper I had in my stash.

I also had these fun little brads of holly that framed this cute little image perfectly. This will be my last card that I enter into the Link up and my last chance to win the wonderful prize she is offering up. Wish me luck!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

  1. Decosse's Dynamite Doodles - 12MoC Link Up
  2. Imagine That - Any Imagine That Digi

Path of Positivity challenge #10 - Generosity

It is the first week of the year and a first for me as a guest designer over at Path of Positivity Challenges!  The intent of this blog is to bring some positive "conversation" and "creations" to the blogging world through challenge blog themes.

This month the theme is "Generosity"

Coming right off from the holidays, I am sure we have lots of inspiration from the Generosity given and received. It is easy to be generous during the month of December as everyone seems to also be in the giving mode. But it is important to be generous throughout the year. Generosity is a quality, like honesty and patience. It comes in all forms, not just a monetary. It is a quality of being kind, understanding and not selfish, something we can offer all year long.

The guest sponsor for the first half of the month is Digistamps 4Joy  DS4J

Vase of Hearts

The image I chose to work with is Vase of Hearts, but she has some other wonderful images that would work perfect for Valentine's Day!

Here is what I came up with:

I love this quote because it is so true. If we all did something generous daily, imagine the impact we could make. It is simple, but says a lot.

**January Prizes**

  • Ten digital images from Creative Bug Digitals for the person out of the top seven who receives the most votes during the voting week
  • Three digital images from Ike's World for the post or project that the DT deems most inspiring of the bunch
  • A prize of an FIVE images from DigiStamps4Joy, our guest sponsor this month, for a person chosen in a random draw based on all entrants
  • One digital designer paper from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles for one lucky voter who leaves a comment
  • One digital sentiment for every single person who enters the challenge from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles as well.
And custom Badges for the Top Seven!

Here is what I used on my card:

  • White Card stock for base of card
  • Light blue floral paper from my stash
  • Blue paper which I distressed with my sandpaper
  • Blue checkered Paper from stash to make banner
  • Used my scallop punch to make edging for banner
  • Red twine from Recollections
  • Button from my button jar
  • Artist's Loft pencils and Gamsol blending solution to color image
So put on your creativity cap and show us your interpretation of generosity. Can't wait to see your posts.
