Surfer Girl

Hey everyone! Now I know that it is winter and we have been dealing with the colder weather, so I thought I would share this cute little Surfer Girl card to bring some much needed warmth and Sunshine into our lives!

I created this card using cardstock, stickers and washi tape from my stash. I colored my image using Copic Markers and fussy cut my image.

I adhered my image to a Journal card from Imagine That called Catchin waves. Once everything was in place, I added a couple of blue skittles.

I have provided a list below of the copic colors I used.

Thanks for stopping by!

Copic Colors: G05, G07, R27,N6, YR23, YR24, YR27, E00, E11, E21
Other Markers: Marine Blue

Let's go Coastal with So Suzy Stamps!

Happy New Year! It is a new year and a new release for So Suzy Stamps! This month the design team is going coastal and we have some great cards to inspire you along the way.

This fun clothes line is part of the new release this month. It is great for summer note cards, but can also be used for many occasions. Another fun sentiment has been added to the collection as well that goes perfectly with the new stamp images.

I had a yellow polka dot bikini set of stickers that I have had in my stash for a while and I finally got a chance to use them. Isn't it funny how we have items in our stash and then a new stamp comes along and it is a match that was just waiting to happen.

Supplies Used

Die Cuts: Nellie's Multi Frame
Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black

613 Avenue Create - Beach Scene

Hey everyone. Well this is it. This is my last post as a DT member over at 613 Avenue Create.

Theme: Create your own Challenge
Sponsor: Stamplorations
Image: Concha Shell

Today our challenge is to create your own challenge. This is where we give you a bingo card and you muse use at least 1 item from every column. These are the elements I used on my card:

  • Image
  • Sentiment
  • Solid Paper
  • button (my sea shell was in my buttons so I am going with that )
  • Bakers Twine/hemp
Now I know that colum 4 is a stretch, but the shell went so well with this card, so I hope you will forgive me.

The Beach pass ticket is a printable I found over at Just Something I made. If you are not aware of this site, you MUST check it out. Lots of fun FREE printables.

My decision to step down is definitely for selfish reason. I am starting to get into more mixed media projects as well as designing and I need more time for that. While I have loved being on this design team, at some point you have to make the tough decisions.

I hope you will continue to pop in and visit me. I have a lot of fun in store for you!

Simple Pleasures by the Beach

Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a fab weekend. I am here this morning to share a little note card I made over the weekend. I live in AZ, so we don't have any Beaches close by. Growing up in San Diego, I lived at the Beach in the summer months, so I sure do miss those times.

So I felt in the mood to make a beach card. I found this cute little Tilda image to work with.

I picked up 4 more copic markers last week, shades of red and yellow. So it was a good excuse to use them. Now, what is summer without Lemonade? It is so refreshing in the summer months! I even had a cute little yellow bikini sticker to add to the inside of my note card. I went that extra step and created the matching envie!

What do you think?

Hope you have a wonderful Summer Day!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Creative Knockouts - Spring is in the Air

It is time for another challenge over at Creative Knockouts. Our Theme this week is "Spring is in the Air." Well...it certainly is. I have been working outside all week enjoying the lovely weather. That is one of the perks of working from home, I have an outside office.

Out Sponsor this week is Sweet n Sassy.

I contemplated this design for a while as I was not sure how I wanted to depict a Spring Scene. Ultimately I went with a black and white. This image was so tranquil, I wanted to create a picture perfect scene, hopefully I have accomplished that.

The sentiment inside reads:

Hopefully I have inspired you to play along. We would love to see you over at Creative Knockouts!
