A New Year!

Hi everyone! Well, we only have a few more days left until the new year so I thought I would get ready with my first calendar card. 

Our design team challenge this week over at Cornish Heritage Farms is to create a calendar card.

This cute little dog will bring a smile to my face every day! It is called "Beggin Dog Stamp" and you can find the digital image over at Cornish Heritage Farms. The sentiment is from the rubber stamp set called "Birthday Greetings."

P.S. I Love You!

Hi everyone! I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday. Now that Christmas is over, It is time to start thinking about our next big card event, and that of course is Valentine's Day!

I couldn't believe that I didn't have this gorgeous fan in my stamp stash! Well I rectified that!

I love to layer my cards. You can use so many elements with this technique that compliment each other, even though you are covering up part of the images.

I started out with a 4.25" x 5.5" creme card stock. I matted it onto red card stock and stamped the Eiffel tower. I used a stamp I had from Stampin Up, but So Suzy Stamps has a wonderful Eiffel Tower stamp in her Paris Collection.

I added some washi tape to the bottom of the creme card stock and added my Lovely View Die cut. At this point I adhered the 4.25" x 5.5" card stock to my red designer paper.  I cut the paper a bit smaller on each sides to fit a 5" x 7" card base.

Using my foam dots, I added my stamped and embossed fan and Cafe Sign. I stamped Je t'aime and P.S. I Love you and added a post mark to the side.  So Suzy Stamps has some great post mark stamps and you can find those as well in her Paris section.

Dear Santa

I am here with the last post of the year for Riley and Company! But we will be back again next year with a new challenge and a new name, so be sure to stay tuned for that.

Our theme this time is Christmas, so I decided to make this card as one last plea to Santa...Hopefully he will have some pity on me and I will get more than coal in my stocking, LOL!

The sentiment is one of the funny bones over at Riley and Company!

Travel Passport Card

Hey everyone! One of my goals for 2016 is to be able to put these lovely passport cards into kits! Now I know there are a lot of kits out there, but these cards have become so popular and can be altered for so many occasions, I thought I would share the knowledge and supplies to create these fun cards.

There are a lot of embellishments that go into making these cards, and that is what makes up the detail. You will see ephemera throughout, sentiments as well as Tim Holtz rub ons.

These are greeting cards, so you will also get journal cards to share a little hand written note. 

Each card has a pocket where you can add a matching tag, fun matching ephemera to go with the theme of the card, or even a gift card.

Now to really make this a passport card, you will need the post marks. I have all 4 So Suzy Stamps post mark stamps that always go in the back of these cards. I hope to release 4 kits next year and each kit will have one of the 4 stamps!

This card is available in my Etsy shop, as well as this fun fun little kit I put together. I found this Travel book kit at Tuesday Morning and decided to add to it to make a starter Passport kit.  The 6 travel stamps are perfect for passport cards, so I thought I would put 2 kits together. Now one is already sold, so I only have one left.
