Crazy Dog Graduation card

One of my favorite stamp sets is the Crazy Dog set. Yes I love most of my Stampers Anonymous Stamp sets, but this one holds a special place in my heart.

I think the reason I love it so much is because it is...well...very cute for one, but really because it is so versatile. I have used this set to create Fall cards, Christmas Cards and now I am creating a graduation card.

This card was very easy to make. Here is a video to share my process. I just love his expression!

When creating graduation cards, I don't like to use a traditional sentiment on the outside like Congratulations or Happy Graduation.  I like to find a sentiment that will give a little advise to the graduating student. While these kids may think they know everything, they still may have a few things to learn in their journey of life.

Some of Tim Holtz's sentiments are perfect for this. They deliver fun cards with fun messages.

Finding your way through life

Graduations, especially High School ones are an exciting time. It is a time to celebrate success and a time to get ready for the unknown.  I love making graduation cards. It gives me an opportunity to try and capture and express a journey that is about to take place.

I love the Graduation label printables at VectoriaDesigns. They are a perfect addition to any graduation card and each sends a special message.

They are colorful and still have the vintage feel that I love so much.  The cute little cap on the top emphasizes the grad theme and tie in well with my digital colored image.

Cornish Heritage Farms - Graduation Challenge

It is time for another challenge over at Cornish Heritage Farms.

Steph has challenged the Design Team to make a card in honor of graduation

The sentiment I used this month for my card is from the Birthday Greetings set, but as you can see, some of the sentiments are versatile and can be used for other occasions as well. 

I used my "Wonderful" embossing folder and added some fun graduation die cuts along with some washi tape to make this fun graduation card.

To play create a card using CHF images. You can use either CHF digital or rubber stamps to create a card or project.... anything you like as long as the stamps are Cornish Heritage Farms. (Yes, they can be older stamps).

Path of Positivity - Perseverance

It is time for our mid month inspiration over at Path of Positivity. If you have not linked up there still is plenty of time. Our theme this month is perseverance and our sponsor is  Ike's Art and Deedee's Digis.

The image and sentiment I used are from a set over at Deedee's Digi's called "Congratulations Graduate." This set has gotten a lot of use this month as my son is graduation High School and I have been making party invites.

Education definitely does take perseverance. While he may not be as focused as I would like him to be right now (senioritis), he has worked hard over the last 4 years. 

The set has lots of great sentiments enabling me to make many different versions of a graduation card. The paper is from a set over at Decosse's Dynamite Doodles called June Graduation Kit.

Our challenge runs all month long, so there is plenty of time to play. We would love to see you link up this month and share with us your meaning of perseverance.

Riley & Company - Graduation

Welcome back to another challenge over at Riley and Company. Our Theme this time around is GRADUATION! I have a graduating senior this year and boy are there a lot of activities going on at my house. 

But let's get on to our challenge:

I had these cute little die cuts that I have been using for my graduation party invites. I thought they would look cute on a card. I didn't want to create the traditional graduating card, so when I saw this sentiment I thought it would work great for a card.

Non Traditional Graduation Card

With Graduations around the corner, we will probably be seeing lots of Graduation cards popping up all over the place. I wanted to share with you today a non traditional graduation card I made using a few of my So Suzy Stamps.

If you love Peacocks, you will love this stamp. I stamped thi image using Powder Puff chalking inks and embossed both the image and the sentiment. From there I just matted the card onto Blue cardstock. The Glitter Peacock designer paper I picked up at Michaels. I cut out a piece and matted it to my purple cardstock.

Here is the inside of my card. So simple, yet so elegant. And definitely NOT your traditional Graduation Card.
