Suzy Bee's Bloomin Challenge - #6 - Upcycle

It is Saturday, that means the start of another Challenge over at Suzy Bee's Bloomin  Challenges. The theme this week is Upcycle. Now some of you may ask, what is Upcycle? I know I did. So here is how what I found when I "googled" it

up·cy·cle
ˈəpˌsīkəl/
verb
  1. 1.
reuse (discarded objects or material) in such a way as to create a product of a higher quality or value than the original.

Our sponsor this week is Lacy Sunshine. If you have not worked with any of her stamps yet, you really should check them out. I have grown to love these digi's they are very cute and fun to work with.

I have to admit, this was one of the more difficult challenges for me. But hopefully I met the challenge with my design.

I went with the shopping theme. I had made a collage with a clock face before, so I thought I would go with that idea again. Here is what I did:

  • Covered face of the clock with Inkssentials Crackle Accent
  • Colored Tim Holtz Grunge Blocks with Peeled Paint Distressing Ink
  • Covered colored Grunge Blocks with Dimensional Magic
  • Cut up a used Visa Gift Card and used it as an accent
  • Added Die cut presents, clock arms and Price Tag.
  • Colored my Lacy Sunshine image with Artist Loft's Pencils and Gamsol blending solution
  • Finished off with Tim Holtz Hinge Clips

Time To Shop
With collages, there really is no rhyme or reason, you just keep adding until you get the look you want. Now even though this was the most challenging project, it was up to this point one of the funnest. So... to quote a line from "How I met your mother" (American T.V. Show) Challenge Accepted..and Challenge Completed.

So put on your thinking caps and play along.  Remember, there are no size restrictions, CD Printouts also are acceptable. Your entry does not even have to be a Card.

I would like to enter my Collage into the following challenges:
