Christmas Village additions using Deflecto Crafts

I probably am not the only one who puts up a Christmas Village during the holidays. But in a village, the houses and buildings are only part of it, You need to have people, trees and signs.

deflecto sign holder - angled
So this year I created all three of these to compliment my Christmas Village. I used the sign holder from Deflecto Crafts for my light post and attached my Tim Holtz Lamp Post Die Cut I cut on from some red and white designer paper. The wreath was a sticker from Recollections. I attached the sign holder to the small angled  Deflecto Crafts sign holder to act as a base for my lamp post.
The Alpha Parts framed arrows from Ideology and attached red signs I found on line. The Naughty and Nice elves digital print outs I cut to fit into the Deflecto Crafts angled sign holders. I added stickers from Recollections.

Finally, the Christmas Tree is an ornament. I removed the string and attached it to the Deflecto Crafts angled sign holder to use as a base.

Coffee Lover's Blog Hop - Day 1

It is day 1 of the Coffee Lover's blog hop and I only have 1 card finished! Fortunately this is a card that I used for a holiday gift card, so as you can see I am multi-tasking!

Steampunk and Passport cards...

Everyone knows I love Steampunk and I love Passport Cards, but when you put my two favorites together, it is just heaven for me.

I needed to create a birthday card for a gentleman turning 80 and he loves trains. I had this wonderful stamp set from Artistic Outpost that I knew would work great!

One I finished the birthday card, I loved it so much that I knew I had to create a Passport card using the same image. The image was the perfect size for the front of my passport book and I had some fun ephemera that I could use.

Now these passport cards are greeting cards, so I always ensure there is a journal card somewhere inside to be able to include a nice handwritten sentiment.

I just love this image of the train depot! It stamped so crisp using my MISTI!

Of course you need the train schedule, meal pass and your ticket for this ride, and they are all include in your passport card.

I have many favorites, but I think currently, this one is my favorite and now available in my Etsy store.

Traveling Die Cut Storage

Hey everyone. I wanted to share with you this die cut storage I created using Deflecto 5" x 7" plastic pouches and the craft magnetic sheets.

Like most of us, I have die cut storage units, but they are bulky and put up on a shelf. I don't know about you, but with my crafting, sometimes when it is out of sight, it is out of mind.  So I created these nifty little die cut holders that are small enough to keep on my desk when I am crafting and easy to hang up on a hook when I want to get them off my desk.

They are so easy to move around I am calling this my "traveling die cut storage unit" LOL!
These pouches are perfect for my smaller die cuts, the ones we tend to forget about. Now they are right at my fingertips!
