Coffee Lover's Blog Hop - Tea Time

Well we are here, day 7 of the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop! Today instead of sharing a Coffee Card, I am sharing a tea card.

I was inspired by my tea cup set given to me by my Mother-in-law to use the set of Architextures Trinkets – China Tea Cups from Canvas Corp Brands.

My Mother-in-Law had a tea cup collection. It was something she collected her entire life. After many years of collecting, she decided it was time to pack them up. Before she did this, she let me pick whatever ones I wanted. I picked out a few and display them proudly. She has since then passed away. These little cups bring back nice memories of her.

I used a piece of designer paper from the 7gypsies – Architextures Paper Pad. I cut out a piece of coordinating card stock and embossed it using one of my embossing folders.

I adhered the designer paper, a piece of lace and a scalloped circle onto the distressed embossed paper.

I added the tiny tea cup to the center of my scalloped circle and added some "Tea Party" tickets from VectoriaDesigns.

Suzy Bee's Bloomin Challenge #10 - Clean & Simple

Happy Saturday! This is my first DT card for the new year. Hopefully everyone is well rested from the holiday hustle and bustle and ready to get down to some card making.

This week at Suzy Bee's Bloomin Challenges the theme is Clean and Simple. What a perfect theme to begin the year.

Our sponsor this week is Broken Box.
She has some wonderful images to work with, so pop over if you have a chance and check out all she has to offer.

The image I chose to work with this week was Tea Cup. In these winter months, who wouldn't want to sit down to a nice cup of tea? So here is my card.

Friendship Warms the Heart

I have a friend that is having surgery, so I thought I would put a get well sentiment inside and send it off to her.

Here is what I did:
  • Light blue card stock for base of card
  • Embossing Folder from the Paper Studio
  • Paper Doily on top of embossed cardstock
  • Colored image with Artist's Loft colored pencils and Gamsol Blending Solution
  • Sentiment from Hero Arts Rubber Stamp
The sentiment rubber stamp is actually a scene with tea cups and saucers, but i didn't quite fit on the card. So I cut around and just used the sentiment.

Hopefully you are inspired to participate this week. We have several new sponsors over at Suzy Bee's this year so I hope to see you all play along!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
