One of the things I love about making my own cards is that I can make a card for ANY occasion. My husband works with a friend who recently obtained her citizenship. This is a very special event in her life and I wanted to make a special card that not only congratulated her, but would be a keepsake for years to come.
The internet is a wonderful thing. There are so many fantastic images out there. I wanted to find the perfect image to use for her card and knew of course it had to be vintage. I found this fantastic image on a Pinterest board called "Vintage Post Cards". I wanted to give credit, but it was just a scanned in image, so the best I can do is link to the

The coloring of the image was perfect, it matched the brown tones I wanted to use on my card. I sure hope she likes it. It is definitely a "one of a kind" card. Now I just have to find the perfect sentiment for the inside.
