This month it was all about Ephemera. Now what is great about ephemera, is that if you don't have it, you can typically create it by cutting smaller pieces of decorative designer paper. This month we were challenged to make a patch work collage.
Now what is great about collages, is nothing is wrong. You just keep layering until you like what you see. You can have two people using the same ephemera, and each of their tags will look completely different.
I laid out my items until I got exactly the look I wanted. I wasn't too concerned about the pieces hanging off the sides because I knew I could cut it off, just like Tim did in his tutorial.
I used Mod Podge to adhere my paper and film strip. Once everything was dry, I cut around my tag.
I added some metal embellishments, some lace and sewed along the bottom and side of the rose.
I just love that film strip don't you? I used Pic Monkey to overlay the picture onto a film strip. I am loving that new technique. I printed out a few of these film strips as I plan on making a few more of these tags.
I plan on using this tag on a Mother's Day card, so I added the word mom. I need to get some capital letter dies, the lower case just aren't doing it for me, but a girl has to use what she has.
Hope you like my take on Tim's Tags. Thanks for stopping by.
I would like to enter my tag into the following challenges:
