I did not have a chance to play in his October Tag challenge, so i was ready to go when he posted November. I always am hopeful that I have enough of his supplies and tools to be able to follow the technique, and fortunately this month I did.
I started out by using 3 colors of distress paint and spritzing the paint before running my tag through them. I then used my embossing folder to get the leafy affect.
I took some corrugated paper and cut it down to tag size and began peeling away the top layer on one side of the card board to expose the corrugate.
I spritzed the cardboard with Walnut Ink and then sprinkled embossing powder on top. I added leaves punched out from paint sample cards over at my Home Depot (these sample cards are great for punched) and added Alpha Parts to spell out "Live" and "Now." I distressed the words using Forrest Moss distress paint.
Now I don't know about Tim, but it usually takes me a couple of tries to get the tag I want. My first one I used paste to create embossed leaves, but when I distressed them, I didn't get the colors I wanted, so I started over. Art is trial and error. You can't be afraid to try new techniques...
