Thanks So Much!

Hello Crafty friends. It is Monday and my turn to share some inspiration using one of the sentiments from the Inspirational Plate #2 set over at I Brake for Stamps.

I have shared several cards this month using some of the wonderful sentiments from this set. It is a great set for everyday cards.

I decided this week to create a simple, yet elegant thank you card. Black and grey are always so classic and they make great cards.  

I also added a sheer black ribbon to accent the bold "Thanks so Much" focal point. 

This card is very simple to make enabling you to duplicate them with ease. You can easily create several to create as a set to give as a gift or to have on hand when you need to send out your own Thank You cards.

National Thank You Card Month

Did you know that January is National Thank You Card Month? If you think about it, it makes perfect sense. This is the time we should all be sitting down and writing Thank You Cards for all the wonderful gifts we may have received over the holidays. 

Next to Birthday cards, Thank you cards are probably one of the most given types of cards, so why shouldn't we put extra thought into these?  Thank you cards tend to leave a memorable impression, so why not add a little extra thought and personalize or customize these types of cards. 

I recently visited an antique shop and found some wonderful Airmail envelopes. They inspired me to create some vintage inspired Thank You cards. 

The paper stack I am working with is from 7gypsies and is called American vintage.  I also used some glimmer mist from tattered angels on my Kraft card stock.

I also used some stamps from Stamplorations and Stampers Anonymous to create this vintage inspired Thank You card. I also took some inspiration from those vintage envelopes I found and created my own matching envelope for my cards.

So don't forget to send out those Thank You Cards this month, believe me, sometimes they mean more than the gift.

Elegant Thank you cards feat. STAMPlorations

If there is any one type that you always should have on hand, it is a Thank You card. There are so many times when I want to send a quick thank you and I don't have a card on hand. Yes, as a card maker I find it hard to believe as well, but it is true.

I have been on a foil sheet kick recently. They make such elegant additions to my cards. If you want to see how I made these, be sure to pop over to my You Tube channel to see my quick tutorial.

So I have made a point to create several Thank you cards that I will be keeping in my personal stash to use. I won't be selling them, I won't be giving them to family, they are all for me...and for someone I need to thank in the future.

So Suzy Stamps - Teacher Thank You Card

Have you been playing along with at the challenge over at So Suzy Stamps? If not, there still is time!
I am here today to share a card I made that is perfect for a teacher Thank You card. With the end of the year approaching, you may need a few of these.

The base card is very simple to make:

The base paper is from Creative Keepsakes "Power Pad" I also used a piece from Tim Holtz Kraft-Core Nostalgic Collection. I love this 4.25 x 5.5 in pad. It is great cardstock for embossing.

I wish I could tell you the name of the embossing folder I used, but it was a gift with no labels. But really any fund design will work. The sentiment is from one of the new releases over at So Suzy Stamps called Enter Yourself

Cut your paper 1/4" smaller than your than your card base for a perfect fit. I decided to go with a green theme and a green apple since there are so many red apple teacher cards. The die cut I used was from Spellbinders shapeabilities called Nested Apples.

I used a little note card I had for the center pocket. It had ruled lines which worked great for a teacher card and perfect for a hand written little note.
