Coffee Lover's Blog Hop - Day 5

Why is it that many people retire at the beginning of summer? It makes sense for teachers as it is the end of the school year, but not so much for anyone else.

In any case, that is the theme of my 5th card for the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop.

Did you know that STAMPlorations is also celebrating their 4th birthday. I am using the Good Books and Coffee stamp set and use the technique of paper piecing for the design on the coffee cup and the books. I matted it onto some Coffee Card stock from Canvas Corp Brands.

Cornish Heritage Farms - Take time to enjoy Life!

Welcome back to another challenge over at Cornish Heritage Farms.  Our theme for this challenge is Ocean's of fun. Create a card depicting water, the ocean, serenity of the sea. Use blue somewhere on your card. 

The image I am using is called Sailboat. If this is not serenity, I don't know what it. I am getting more relaxed just looking at it. You can find this image over at CHF by clicking HERE.

To play create a card using CHF images. You can use either CHF digi or rubber stamps to create a card or project...anything you like as long as the stamps are Cornish Heritage Farms.

Once you have created your card/project, link it up over at the CHF blog so we can see what you have created. If you upload your card/project to Splitcoast Stampers please use the keywork CHF80.

CHF - Thomas Kinkade image

Welcome back to another challenge over at Cornish Heritage Farms.  We are challenging you this week to create using a Thomas Kinkade stamp.

CHF has some wonderful Thomas Kinkade rubber stamps. The one I am using is called:

The Old Fishin' Hole

I knew I wanted it to have somewhat of a vintage look, so I used some chalk ink and embossing powder. I had a frame that matched, so I just framed it and called it a day.  That is what is so nice about his images, you can color them, but they also look great just stamped. There is so much detail in these stamps!

Goodbye Tension...Hello Pension - Retirement Ahhh

Hello! I sure hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday. I am a bit behind today in posting my card so I do send out apologies.

Today starts another challenge over at 613 Avenue Create.

Theme:  Anything Goes

I have never made a retirement card, but when I saw this image I knew exactly what I would do. I have had this sentiment for a while, but have not had a chance to use it.

I have used these cute little embellishments on a few of my other cards. I will have to find out where my friend got them because at this rate, I may run out. The sentiment is from Created with TLC. Another great freebie.

For the inside, I just typed "Happy Retirement". Nothing too fancy.

So what do ya think? Makes me wish I was retired that is for sure. Then I would have more time to craft.
