WAW - Fill-In DT Member last week

Well, this is my last week to fill in as a designer over at Word-Art-Wednesday. Karen has been a great hostess and I have enjoyed participating all month long.

I found this stamp in a used bookstore in Tucson. I just love it and think it works great with this scripture.

Word Art Wednesday - Fill-In DT Post

It is Wednesday, that means another challenge over at Word Art Wednesday (WAW). It has been a pleasure filling in over there with the team these last few weeks. In the past, I had not made many cards with scripture, but I am loving the opportunity to create some.

I used one of my favorite rubber stamps for this card and colored in the image using my Chromatix Markers. Here is a close up of the scripture and the card:

Word Art Wednesday - Fill-In DT Week 3

Well it is mid January. We are half way through the first month of the year. I have started out with a bang, filling in on the Design Team at WAW and being asked as the Guest Designer over at Path of Positivity. These both have similar goals, so I happy to participate in both of these this month.

This is my third card for WAW and the scripture that was provided is from Psalm 146:5.

Here is the card that I came up with:

The paper I used for my card came from my DCWV paper pack called the Mariposa. I grunged up the sides of the sentiment using my Tim Holtz peeled paint distressing ink. The butterfly was made with my Cuttlebug Butterflies die cut and I used my Spellbinders Asian Accents to cut out the banner at the bottom.
Flowers were created using punches and used ribbon and gems are from my stash.

WAW January Fill-In Designer

Welcome to the New Year! It's always exciting when we start a New Year. We never know what is in store for us. I started this blog last July and have just loved being part of the Card Making community. My first order of business this year is to be a Fill-In designer over at Word Art Wednesday.

This is a blog I love to participate in. Every week they provide a free scripture that you can use for your cards, but it is not required to play along. It is a family-friendly blog that asks you to use encouraging or uplifting sentiment in your entries. You can enter up to 5 projects and they can be anything, not just cards.

Here is the card that I came up with:

JOB 38:7

I have several Angel Rubber stamps and I just love any opportunity to work with them. This particular stamp is from Wire Works and the music paper as well as the embossing folder are from Paper Studio.I used my Oval Die cuts from Sizzix to mat my angel and black card stock for the base of my card.
