Christmas Cheer!

I have started my New Years resolution list. One of the items on my list is to make time to play in some of my favorite challenges. Catch The Bug is definitely one of my favorites.

I purchased this image last year and used it for a New Year's Card. This year I decided to make a Christmas Card out of it. I followed the sketch over at Catch The Bug and this is what I came up with.

Bosses Day...or Employee's Day?

I LOVE BUGABOO IMAGES! Have I mentioned that before? If you are following me, you probably seen that I have. They are just so fun and easy to color. I have been fortunate to win a few of their challenges where I have gotten ten (10) free images. I also make sure I get their Friday Freebie, and it doesn't hurt that I design for a few challenges that they have sponsored. They are so generous over there, my collection is really starting to grow.

Catch The Bug is currently having a color challenge. It is called bright summer fun. You need to use a Bugaboo image and include colors from this pallet.


Ah Pink...one of my favorite colors. Okay, well that seems easy enough and it will get me started on my Bosses Day Cards which is October 16th this year.


Now I told you they had cute images didn't I? The paper colors are so fun and vibrant for this challenge, making it easy to make a very fun card. I just love those polka dots!

National Pink Day - June 23rd!



Did you know that June 23rd is National Pink Day? Well I didn't until it became or theme for this weeks challenge over at 613 Avenue Create.

Pink is one of my favorite colors. When I was in 6th grade, the movie Greece came out. You all remember the "Pink Ladies", right? Well, a group of friends and myself decided that we wanted to form a club called "The Pink Teens." We could not afford jackets, so instead we made little satin scarves. It brings back great memories. I thought about these times recently as I just lost a childhood friend suddenly who was one of the "Pink Teens." While we had grown apart as childhood friends typically do, we re connected through my card making. She was a supporter of my cards making hobby and even would even request special orders.

I was very sad to hear the news and the tragedy of her death. So in honor of my childhood friend, I want to dedicate my card to her and may she Rest in Peace!

Our sponsor for this challenge is Bugaboo stamps. The image I chose to work with is called "JJ Coffee to go".  A fun image with some fun subway art to go with it!

Summertime Birthday Celebrations

I love bugaboo stamps. I think they are one of my favorite stores to get my images. I get very excited when they are a sponsor for one of the challenges I am a DT member on. I love how they have Friday freebies, and I have even been fortunate enough to win challenges where they have been the sponsor.

This image is a favorite of mine. It is called brat cupcake wagon. It makes such a cute little birthday card. Great for a summer birthday, because who doesn't love ice cream in the summer. My sister need a little girl birthday card for a cute little girl named Ale. I thought this image would work great, and I was right.


So lets celebrate Ale's first birthday! Hope it is a memorable one.

Completely Christmas #6

Are you ready for another Christmas Challenge? I sure hope so because here we go.

I hope you have been playing along over at Completely Christmas. This is our 6th challenge and our sponsor this week is Bugaboo Digi Stamps. We all know them, they have such fun images to work with.

This week I chose to work with a little gal called Sun Bonnet Ice Skating.

I did not go with the traditional Christmas colors on this one, but it makes such a fun feminine Christmas card don't ya think?

Santa on Vacation

I have been seeing these Bugaboo digi's all over these card challenges, and I finally had to check them out myself. There are some really fun images and right now they are having their annual 50% off Christmas sale going on. I picked up a few stamps and this was one of them:

Inner Tubing Santa

I have a feeling I will be spending (literally) some more time over at that shop. It looks like they also have a reward program, where you earn 1 point for every $1 spent. Then after 60 points you can redeem for stamps. They also have a "Freebie" Friday, so you know where I will be on Fridays. So much to offer, it feels like Christmas. But wait, there is more, I popped over to their challenge blog, Catch the Bug, and they have a list of Challenge Blogs that they are currently sponsoring, so this is another way to pick up some of these fabulous images.
