Hi everyone! I am here today to share with you this altered clip board I made using several of the new idea-olgy releases this year from Tim Holtz along with my personalized stamp "Create Yourself", from Simply Stamps.
As Artists, it sometimes takes us a while to find ourselves. We try all sorts of different mediums until one day it hits us. It may not be overnight, and sometimes it takes a life time, but it is definitely a journey to Create Yourself.
If you would like to see how I created this Altered Clip Board, I have provided a link to my You Tube channel.
There is a quote that reads "Life isn't about finding yourself, Life is about Creating Yourself." I didn't want the entire quote, only a version of it. I was able to create a custom sentiment over at Simply Stamps, in the font I wanted.
To begin, I removed the clip from the Clip board using a screw driver. I then cut out a piece of cardstock the size of my clip board.
Using PPA I adhered my card stock to my clip board. A rubber brayer works great to roll out any excess adhesive.
I added a little color using some distress ink and a stencil. Then I proceeded to add some washi tape as well as well as some Film Strip Ribbon.
Now at this point your project can go in any direction, depending on your theme. I wanted to create a theme of growth through years of learning and finding yourself.
The ephemera I used is called layers as well as Paper Dolls from Tim Holtz new collection. I also sprayed some wooden gears using tattered angels and glued them to the bottom of the clip board.
I also added some letters of the alphabet using Alpha Tile Chip board and some metal objects.
I finished off the project by adding a couple of sentiments "Stay Curious" and "Create Yourself" along with some phrases from a set of Remnant rubs.
Thanks for stopping by!
