Stick it Down - May Card Challenge

Can you believe we are in May? Wow that is almost 1/2 the year. Hopefully you have been keeping up on your New Years resolutions and if crafting was one of them, then allow me to help you with one more item, lol.

It is time for another card sketch over at Stick it Down.  For my card this month, I decided to pull out my alcohol inks. I love playing with those, but do not use them nearly enough.

Here is the sketch I used -
The rubber stamp I used is a collage rubber stamp that I got from a lady in my neighborhood. It is unmounted and she was selling off some of her items. It looked interesting, so I bought it. I added washi tape, brads and finished off with a little tag that says "imagine."

Here is a closer look. It is interesting how the image looks so different when the sunlight hits it.

A different look, but I like it. Hope you do too and it inspires you to play along this week.

Stick it Down - April Card Sketch Challenge

So has anyone been getting April Showers? Here in Arizona we don't get too much rain, but when we do it sure is a down poor.  Hopefully everyone is staying dry.

Well, it is time for another Card Sketch Challenge over at Stick it down.

Our sketch as always is brought to you from Cathy on our team and once again has done a great job. Since we are coming upon Easter, I decided to go with an Easter/Spring theme.

I hand colored that entire basket. It was quite a chore being some of those flowers are very tiny. But overall, I am very happy with the outcome. Here is what I used:
Here is a closer look:

Paper: Stash
Stamps: Just Rite - Fancy Tags, Hero Arts - Floral Basket
Embellishments: Ribbon, Gems, paper doily from stash
Die Cuts: Spellbinder - Asian Accents
Markers: Copic and Chromatix

Hope to see you over at Stick it down this month!

Stick it Down - March Card Challenge

Aren't you glad that we are finally getting into the Spring months? Well, I know a few of you out there are still struggling with the bad weather, but hang on, I am sure Spring for you is just around the corner. And if not, well, there is always crafting! So come on over and play along over at Stick it Down.

Our sketch this week comes from the wonderful Cathy. She keeps us stocked with fresh new sketches every month. I decided to go with a St. Patty's Day theme since we are in March and it is just around the corner.

Stick it Down February Card Sketch

It is the second week in February, that means another Card sketch over at Stick it down. I have been neglecting my rubber stamps, so I decided to show them some love and come up with a card using a stamp I had not used in a while.

Here is the sketch I had to work with:
and here is my card:

The stamp is from Stampers Anonymous. It did not have a name on it, but I call it "Letters from the Queen" because the little tag on the index finger says "From the Queen." Paper and Gems are from my stash.

Hopefully this sketch and my card has inspired you to participate this month. Be sure to check out the other cards from the design team over at Stick it Down. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Ends Feb 17 - Make it Monday - ATG
Ends Feb 15 - Sketchy Colors
Ends Feb 15 - Allsorts - Colors beginning with B(rown)

Stick it Down - Sneak Preview

Happy Monday! Well it is the start of another week and the team from Stick it Down is just so anxious to get started in January. We all are just like a bunch of little kids waiting for Christmas to arrive.

Since January is still 2 weeks away, we decided we wanted to give you a little sneak preview. Some of the design teams have put together a project for a little pre-inspiration. I wanted to share with you one of my favorite rubber stamps. I believe I got this from a garage sale. I have used it for Christmas Cards in past as well as Congratulatory cards for new babies. It is just so perfect and precious.

Here is the sketch we had to work from:

And here is what I did:

  • White card stock for base of card
  • Black and white paper from my stash
  • Star Punch
  • Angel stamp is from Inkadinkado
  • Sentiment stamp is from Just Rite - Christmas Trimmings

All Wrapped up
The sentiment worked just perfectly, since the baby is all wrapped up. What a perfect gift!

I hope that we have given you some inspiration to check back with us in January. As a reminder, this will be a multi-challenge blog with a new challenge posted each Tuesday.

1st Tuesday: Single page layouts based on the sketch
2nd Tuesday: Card based on the sketch
3rd Tuesday: Single page layouts based on the sketch
4th Tuesday: Double page layout based on the sketch
5th Tuesday: Anything Goes

Have a great week!
