Hi everyone! Today I am sharing a really cute birthday card that I created using the stamp set "Doggone Dog Stamps" and matching dies from THE STAMP DOCTOR.
My original idea was to create somewhat of a postale theme using this set and I had the perfect washi tape for that.
This set has some really cute sentiments and the dog is just adorable. I love these thin dies as they are so easy to use and store with my sets. I also love how they work perfectly with my Sidekick.
So to begin, I stamped my images on some heavy white cardstock. I used black jet archival ink as I was planning on doing some copic coloring.
Then I colored my images using some copic markers.
using the coordinating die set, I cut out my images using my sidekick. These little dies are so convenient and work perfectly in the sidekick.
To create my background, I covered some white cardstock with faded jeans distress oxides and my blending tool. Then I spritzed my paper with some water and dabbed it with a paper towel. To ensure my paper was completely dry, I used my heating tool.
I added some washi tape to the top and bottom to add more interest and matted my white cardstock onto some blue cardstock. Using my MISTI, I stamped my sentiment.
I then added my images to my white cardstock. I adhered the doghouse flat and used some foam tape for my dog.
I added a matching sentiment inside along with some coordinating washi tape.
Before adhering the card to my white cardstock, I added the red striped washi tape around the boarder of the blue cardstock. I think this really made it pop.
