Thinking of You

Summer is a time for vacationing, visiting new places or sometimes just catching up with family or friends.

I always like to send a little thank you note after a visit, especially if a family member or friend has graciously put us up for a few nights.

I created this layered flower card using some inks from Hero Arts over at A2ZScrapbooking and two stamp sets.  

I used the Hero Arts Layering Hibiscus stamp along with the Hello Stamp and Die Cut set to create this nice thinking of you card.

I didn't want to use traditional vibrant colors, so instead I used the Hero Arts Charcoal Granite ink and the Intense Black to create the flowers.  

After I stamped out the flowers, I used peeled paint Distress Oxide to stamp out the leaf, along with my intense black ink.

I used the hello die to cut out two  green "hello" sentiments and glued them together using Multi Medium Gloss. I then glued it onto my white card over the flowers.  I added some washi tape and cut out my panel using a stitched die.

I matted the floral card base onto some green card stock, then matted that onto a 4.25" x 5.5" card base. I added some Ebony Black and Apple Green Nuvo drops for added texture and interest.
