Hi everyone! It's Monica from Taylormadecards4u. Have you ever tried to stamp on tissue tape? Well if you have then you know that it smears very easily, especially when you are working with silhouette images. It is also impossible to stamp on texture paste.
The positioning of the Marilyn Monroe stamp makes it very easy to fussy cut the silhouette image and re position it over both tissue paper and texture paste.

Working with a 4" x 5.25" piece of white card stock I added two pieces of tissue tape.
I then fussy cut the silhouette image and ran it through my Xyron machine. If you have never used a Xyron machine it turns your stamped images into stickers.
Using my MISTI, I masked the silhouette image and stamped the sentiment onto my cardstock. I stamped it a few times to get a nice dark image.
Once the sentiment is stamped, you can add your texture paste, being careful to work around the stamped sentiment. The silhouette image can be placed anywhere on the card. It is like having two stamps in one.
You can also use this silhouette image with several of the other sentiments released this month or in previous months. It is also a great sentiment on its own.
This is definitely a must have stamp!
Have fun!

Gorgeous texture! I love the grungy feel of this card and, of course, the hilariously snarky sentiment! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my!!! what a fabulous card!! I've never tried to stamp on tissue paper but it sounds interesting and challenging too. Your card has a fantastic grungy, vintage feel, I love the panel you created with the musical score stamped on tissue paper, looks amazing, all the textures compliment each other beautifully.
ReplyDeleteThe sentiment is awesome and funny, love it.
