Wine passport Card Kit release

Hi everyone and Happy New Year! I am excited to roll out my 2019 Passport of the month kit.

There will be a new kit released each month along with some projects created with this kit from my new design team. You can get your Wine Passport Card kit over in my shop.

I created my signature passport card design and you can check out my process video below.

Aly created a beautiful card with a slightly different design. She is showing off some of the wonderful wine ephemera in the kit utilizing an inside pocket. You can find more details on her project over on her blog.

Wendy went in an entirely new direction with this kit. This card folds up into a little book full of pockets to house her ephemera. You can check out her process and more photos of her project over on her blog. You can find her process video here

Marcia created a version of the passport card by making a mini passport book. This little book has several pages and lots of fun images. Be sure to check out her project details over on her blog.

Alina created a passport card similar to my signature design. I love how versatile the kit is enabling you to interchange the designs to create several different styles. The addition of the doily is perfect and adds a great touch!

Robin create a card that has pockets on both side. She added fun embellished tags to add to her card using the ephemera in the January kit. Be sure to check out her process and more photos of her project over on her blog.

Thanks for stopping by!

So Suzy Stamps Steampunk Featurette - Part III

Hi everyone!  I am back for part III of our Steampunk Featurette. This week I will be sharing one of my favorite types of cards, a passport card.

Now if you know me, and I hope that you do, you know that I love, love, love to make passport cards. I have made several styles, so it seemed appropriate that I should make a steampunk one. You may recognize the ATC on the cover. This was shared in the very first featurette post which you can find here: Part I

What is great about these cards, is they fit into an A2 envelope. I have intentionally placed the elements that hang off the side of the card in the middle flap so that they would fit into a standard envelope.

I like to add a pocket of some sort on these passport cards and include a tag or a journal card. This gives a place to write a personal hand message, while keeping the design of the passport card in tact.

Empty pages can be used to adhere photo's that either you or the recipient can add making these true keepsakes. I like to include some sort of saying or sentiment on the last page. In this case I used World to Me.  I always decorate the back of my cards as I believe it really finishes off the project.

The base of the card is very simple to make. It is two pieces of cardstock measuring 7" x 5.5" and 5 3/4" x 4.5".  I scored the larger piece at 3" and again at 1 3/4" up to the first scored line. You will need to cut off this rectangular piece so that your card has all the layers showing.

Here are a couple of pictures to give you an idea of what you should end up with.

I then scored the smaller card stock at 2". I adhered the 4.5" x 2" flap to the inside of the larger piece. This created the base of the card. The paper I used was from a 12" x 12" paper stack from Momenta called How it works. This is a great paper stack for steampunk cards.

One you have the base, you can create any style of a passport card. It is all in the decoration and embellishments.  Many of the embellishments I used to decorate this card are from the Tim Holtz Idea-ology collection. I have included a list below of all the items I used to create this card.

I will have one more post to complete my month long featurette. I have something a little different planned for my final post, so I sure hope that you join me!

I would like to share my card with the following challenges:

Passport to Love - Valentine kit release

Hi everyone! With exactly a month before Valentine's Day, I decided to do a special mid month release for a brand new digital kit called Passport to Love. This kit is perfect for Valentine's Day or any occasion for Love and is now available in the shop.

Passport to Love

I created this passport card and added a metal element along with a beautiful pink bow.  This kit has some beautiful ephemera as well.

You can check out my process video below.

This paper was so beautiful, I decided to create not only a passport card, but a passport book. While this kit is a digital download, I decided to print out several pages of my kit and create an embellishment kit to create not both projects below. You can find the digital kit as well as the printed kit over in my shop.

The design team has been busy with this kit as well so let me share with you their creations.

Marcia from the Frolicking Fairy created this cute Pocket envelope and matching card set. This is a perfect set for a Valentine's Day gift. I am sure some jewelry would fit nicely in that beautiful pocket envelope.  Be sure to check out Marcia's details for this project over on her blog.

Robin from Granninista is sharing this beautiful envelope card with us today. This is a fun unique project. Be sure to check out the details to his project over on her blog.

Nancy created this gorgeous tag. I just love all the layers. It has such a soft romantic feel. Be sure to check out the details over on her blog The Nickel Nook

Next up we have Wendy sharing this beautiful layout. What a beautiful scrapbook page to spotlight a great picture. You can find more details over on her blog made by Wendy Bellino.

Next is Alina. Alina used my signature design and created a fun passport card. Be sure to check out her blog to see how using the same design comes up with a completely different look to her passport card.

And finally we have Aly.  Aly created this beautiful tag. I love how she cut out the words to create her sentiment. Be sure to check out the details to her project over on her blog.
