STAMPlorations Stencil Sunday - Keep Cozy

Hi everyone! I am back sharing another easy design for the Stencil Sunday series over at STAMPlorations. This time I am using the Stencil called Crisscrossed.

I used distress oxide vintage photo and a blending tool and softly brushed the ink through the stencil. I put more pressure on some areas than others so that it was not a constant design.

I used the stamp set called Snow Cozy to stamp the coffee cups onto circles that I punched out.  I colored the cups using Copic Markers and edged the circles using the distress oxide vintage photo.

I used the same stamp set to stamp the sentiments.  I added two pockets and punched a half circle in each to create pockets for my Circles. the thumb notched ensured that my images would show when they were in their "cozy" pockets.

Stenciled Christmas Trees

Hi everyone! I am excited to be featured this month over on the STAMPlorations Blog for the Stencil Sunday series

I transformed my white texture paste into a nice green by swiping some lucky clover Distress Oxide onto my media mat and mixing in the white texture paste.  This is an easy way to create colored texture paste for any project.

Once I was happy with the color, I used a pallet knife to spread the texture paste through the stencil.

I also added a strip of green glitter washi tape to make it a bit more festive.  This is a good way to cover up any boo boo's you may have along the way as well.

Then using my MISTI, I stamped a sentiment on the top as well as under the tree using the stamp set called Hello Christmas.  I used coordinating green ink for my sentiments.

I finished off the card by layering it onto some Green card stock and adding it to a white card base.

I love that this stencil has two trees so I can make to different cards using the same stencil.  When I added the texture paste to this stencil, I covered up the gold star.  Once my texture paste was dry, I re layered the stencil and used a distress crayon to add the star.

STAMPlorations Mid Month inspiration - Stamps and Circles

Hi everyone! I am back to provide some more inspiration for out theme and phot challenge going on over at STAMPlorations. STAMPlorations

This time I used the Circles prompt for my inspiration. I created the background using the stencil called Retro Circles.

It created a fun background and a perfect backdrop for my sentiment. The sentiment stamp is from the Typographia Motivate stamp line called Be in Charge. I love how the background is solid on this stamp. It really helps to highlight the sentiment.

You can link up any kind of project as long as it's inspired by the theme, the photo, or both!

Coffee Lover's Blog Hop

Hi everyone! We are back for another fun Coffee Lover's Blog hop! I am excited to once again be a Super Sponsor for this year's event.  Be sure to check out the shop where I will be offering 15% off all digital images during the week of the hop.

I recently learned how to create a mini journal, and have gone a little crazy creating all sorts of theme'd mini journals.  The journals are so fun as you can add lots of little ephemera pieces, and I love working with ephemera.

I also created a Fall theme'd journal and shared a process video over on my You Tube channel. If you would like to see how to created this mini journal, you can find the video here

the pocket on the left was the perfect size to fit a flash card. I created the Coffee flash card and am offering it as a freebie over in my shop using coupon code: Coffee.  So be sure to grab that freebie soon as It will end once the hop ends.

All of the ephemera I added came from digital kits in my shop. I will be sure to list those for you below.

I used my sizzix ticket die to cut out the small coffee flash card. These made them small enough to fit perfectly into the pockets.

I had so much fun creating this mini journal. I hope you liked it. Have fun hopping!

STAMPlorations Theme & Photo Challene - Stamps & Circles

Hi everyone and welcome to our November theme and Photo challenge over at STAMPlorations

I chose to use the photo as my inspiration today. I am using the stamp set called IN BLOOM: floral Bliss Trio.  I have outlined the stamped image using Gold Pen Touch. This is the first time i have tried this product and I was impressed on the ease of using it.

To go along with the Circle prompt of the challenge, I die cut the rose in the center and popped it up with some foam tape to give it a spotlight affect.

Brutus Monroe Blog Hop

Hi Crafty Friends! I am excited to be participating in a blog hop with my friends over at Brutus Monroe.

I had such a great time guest designing this month and I was honored to be asked to participate in the team blog hop.  For my project, I decided to showcase this beautiful paper collection called Rustic florals.

This paper is so beautiful, and I knew when I saw it, I had to have it. I decided to create a layered card using this paper set and some black card stock.

So I started out by cutting my first layer using one rectangular dies I had in my stash.  Then I cut a piece of black card stock about 1/4 inch larger around the edged.

Then I took then next smaller die and did the same thing and adhered this layer onto the first layer.

I wanted my final layer to stand out a bit more, so I adhered that using some double sided foam tape.

I decided to go simple with my sentiment and cut out the word "HI" several times with one of my letter sets. As a final touch, I added some black Nuvo drops.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
